You'll have to purchase new planes and upgrades, but it's with in-game currency that's earned in-game. I saw no micro-transactions.
I wish I could have brought a copy home to play. 3 missions wasn't enough and that MP was a lot of fun. Pretty balanced as well.
At least one free PSVR game a month would be nice.

The adjustable arms are nice on this model and the chair itself is comfortable and has a high back..

Giving the base game away to PS+ subscribers and doing it early was a genius move. Should generate quite a few sales for the expansions from folks that didn't even have the game on their radar.
