It is a community assisted sim. If you pay 10$ now, you will have pre-ordered the game and you can then try out the monthly builds, give feedback in the forums.
You can even pay 25.000$ if you want to invest in the project. They promise at least %100 profit if the game sells as many as 600k copies when released in 2012.

So it means that it is included in the beta and they can unlock it for everybody if they want to?
Every option a pc gamer can ask for is on that menu! Good job DICE! You already earned my pre-order :)
This article is total bullshit. We all saw that destruction is ok from the videos of the alpha version.
BTW, DX11 has nothing to do with the destruction, it is a CPU-driven feature. This guy should have made some research before posting a ridiculous article like this.
I am thinking that only one GTX 580 with an i5 CPU will be enough to get 40+ FPS in Full HD/Ultra setting. I think DICE used 2x580s in demos just because NVIDIA gave them away for free.
WHY ON EARTH would you use a 550ti with the i7 2600? That is a total waste of CPU power! :D Anyway, I am sure you can play it on med/high settings.
I'd say go for a 6970/570/580. Anything lower than that wouldnt be worth the upgrade.
We dont know yet even if Crytek's South Korea studio or Crytek UK is gonna handle the game's development. I dont think main Crytek studio would be that interested in Homefront. Crytek UK is my guess.
Looks like they made unused weapons like Famas and Galil worth-buying. Looks promising, I will definitely give them a try tonight!
If they had made the choppers like in real life, nobody would use tanks. They have to balance vehicles somehow. In BC2 choppers are still too powerful IMO
Cryengine 3 put to good use at last!
Misunderstanding. Comma Rose is back, not commander.
I am pretty sure graphics werent maxed on that trailer not to shame console versions. Screenshots look way better.
I will go for the chopper to HUNT DOWN SNIPERS!!!
You will also have jets on consoles ;)
Looks really good. Much better than 2010, which was too arcade for my taste.
Slightly customizable characters would also be awesome.
Finally some improvement! I want more guns, better graphics(with same art style) more gadgets to spend money on (without breaking balance) and destructible environments (must be limited of course)
I am glad that my fellow PC gamers are finally abandoning COD franchise, which has become an annual money-grab for Activision.
I havent bought any COD game after MW on PC, which I think is still the best game of the franchise.
I dont think that anyone who hasnt played COD before will be able to distinguish MW2 screenshots from MW3 screenshots.
They should stop talking about better graphics, which obviously is not their strongest point.
