Typically I'd ignore the SJWs, too. But when they start to talk on your behalf, you have to say something or else everyone will think your views are the same as theirs.
That response was well delivered.

@BayAreaBird
Great explanation as well! I'm developing a game myself and was looking to put it on Steam. I might decide otherwise, now. Thanks!
First off: we as humans lie on a daily basis. We shouldn’t throw stones.
Second: he didn’t say there was multiplayer. We as a community assumed that there was. He is, however, responsible because he never denied the claim.
Third: he and his team more than made up for their falsehood. We now have full multiplayer, bases, vehicles, underwater biomes, side quests, and with BEYOND, things can only get better.
Once I saw "Opinion Piece", I didn't bother clicking the link.
And for all gamers in doubt of Cyberpunk 2077: Simply don't buy it. Problem solved. Stop whining. If you want a game in third-person with "moral dilemmas and a thoughtful exploration of transhumanism", go make it yourself because this one is clearly not for you.
Forget options! This is what the community asked for and it's what it got. There was no clause that stated, "We want cross-play, but...". They thought they knew what they wanted. PlayStation was right about cross-play being anti-consumer.
Wasn't the Fortnite community getting their panties in a bunch last year about not having cross-play? Isn't this what they asked for? Why is it a problem now?

Great explanation! I've gotten some insight, now. Agreed; it does seem a little overblown. I don't think it's that serious.
And who's the dodo-brained fool who downvoted you?
Genuine question: why is there such controversy around Epic Games? What bad thing have they done besides creating Fortnite?
Feels a tiny bit Souls-like. I'm liking it. Can't wait to play this!

Forgive the man already.
Much respeck. 🙌🏾
Why must people make such small things political? Can’t we just enjoy the game for what it is? Jesus. It’s non-stop with this crap.

I agree and I know it's marketing. I'm just disappointed it got this far.
Why is "No Loot Boxes" some kind of feature for games now?
Sarcasm is hard.
HA!
LMFAO
Why ask any questions? This has been done before. Basically a super-charged PlayStation Now.
Editable vehicles.

Really? I don't recall anyone crying about cross-play. It seemed like the majority, if not the entirety of the community, wanted cross-play.
I think this goes back to what PlayStation said about cross-play being anti-consumer.

Was so tempted to buy it yesterday. So glad I didn’t it. Almost spent $90 on it.
