I'm hoping that when they say all 3 eras it's not just a reskin because I want unique classes for each of the factions in the eras. You can have your standard soldier but things like Super Battle droids and Destroyers need their own mechanics.

Well what's definitely going to come is Indies and JRPG's.
I think this system would benefit greatly from titles like Diablo and Torchlight. Roguelikes could find a really good home on the Switch IMO.
Maybe some hack n slash titles like Bayonetta and Nier: Automata would be good too?

In all seriousness though I never saw people point out similar when diablo 3 was announced for PS4/Xbone 2 years late but w/e. I guess there's a little hypocrisy there.
As for the release of Payday 2, i dont mind it. I enjoyed it on PC but dunno if I wanna double dip. I have 2 friends with Nintendo Switches so if it has local Co-op I think I'll pick it up. Otherwise ill pass.
That makes me believe there's a pokemon Sun/Moon port in the works or atleast something big coming out this year or Q1 2018 that we haven't heard about.
Perhaps I'm underestimating the selling power of what's currently announced, but it'll be interesting to see what Nintendo has in store for the NS after E3.

I'm interested to see how Nintendos upcoming exclusives affect sales. The Mario Kart series has always been popular and Splatoon did very good for a new IP on the Wii U, but this is where we see if it has system seller power.
ARMS could go either way. I didn't expect Splatoon to sell over 4m so you never know how well this could do.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, but I think that the Switch will basically be a Vita.
The system will primarily be about JP games, Indies and Nintendo 1st party.
I'd like to hear something about VC coming to Switch but im not gonna get my hopes up.
Overall it'll probably just be some info on ARMS/Splatoon 2 along with release dates and some upcoming 3DS games.
I understand why people dislike it but its worth remembering that if you find an enemy holding a weapon you like you can mark it on the map and return after the blood moon event.
Doing so will allow you to stockpile weapons you like.
Also the combat challenge shrine are affected by the blood moon so worth going through those too.

Seems to me a lot of people are under the impression the Xbox One and PS4 were in a vastly stronger position at launch in regards to launch titles.
I recall a fair few of the major launch titles being pretty big disappointments (Watch Dogs/Battlefield 4).

Well it does say the direct will have a focus on those two games.
They are expected to release within the next few months and when you think about it we don't exactly know much about them.
I'd expect most of the huge surprises to be held back for E3. Maybe some ports or virtual console will be announced?
Not impossible but unlikely. Maybe Nintendo will trike a deal with SEGA like they've done with Sonic in the past.
If we could get a Switch port of the first 2 that would be great!
I think its more because the Switch is kinda going to take over what was the Vita's domain. The vita while not selling well was a really good system if you wanted JRPG's, Indies and the occasional Sony 1st party games.
I think if the Switch can get comparable if not better support from Japan/Indies and then a steady release of Nintendo titles it'll be a really nice system for me personally.

As was said above Mario Kart typically only has 1 release per console. I'm not sure what game series is analogous to Mario Kart to bring us to the conclusion that nintendo is getting a free pass on something.

Either way Pokemon is not 3rd party.
I wouldn't call the Vita's 3rd party support "great". Acceptable, but not great.
I think it would be great to see THQ make a comeback with solid games like this.
