I only read the last paragraph trying to garner an understanding on the rating.. which I still don't get. But he mentions the swamp level was something terribly wrong with the game. Did I miss something? I didn't mind that level at all.
Very glad about the RPG ammo and blast radius change. Cars blow up too easily to allow that stuff to be so powerful and plentiful. Good patch!!
I remember playing my first multiplayer match on Gridlock I think was the name? The really popular map. I went right to the side and wound up staring down at the water in awe completely not focusing on the match itself.
That's exactly as I see it. I LOVED Vegas and Vegas 2 (I remember everyone bought Lockdown, then went back to Black Arrow within days), but it was a different game no question. This is back to the one death you're done, methodical, team based gameplay. I've actually gotten back in touch with a bunch of Black Arrow friends and they're all getting new systems for this game for that reason alone.
The excitement for this has me wanting to go back home and put in Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow for a few levels. The number of hours I put into that game were disgusting. Back in the good old days where people were fine with only a few maps and game modes. Even the community; if you wanted to play seriously, people were down, if you wanted to goof around and play C-4's only, you bet your butt they were down for that as well.
Womp womp.
Yeah I don't touch conquest surprisingly. Good thing about Heist is they brought back the attacking angles that made Rush so much fun in the Bad Company games. The last two battlefields made choke points for Rush, but in Heist there's so many ways to get in and out that it brought the excitement back.
I've enjoyed the multiplayer a lot. Car chases in Hotwire is some of the most fun I've had with an online shooter.
Someone likely doesn't follow video game news..
I'm apparently supposed to loathe this game as a Rhode Islander... but I freakin' loved it. I was almost overwhelmed with how many quests and such I had to do.
Paid 60 for this, I've invested over 20 hours thus far and apparently have tons left to do. Really good game if you can get past the first 2 hours of sluggishness.
Problem is I've beaten it on PS3, so it's a re-play for me. Honestly may just have to grab Ori instead and hope this does indeed end up free before the new one!
This is honestly fantastic news to me. Now I can use my tax refund to pick up both a PS4 and Uncharted!! Better than trying to scrounge together money when my energy bills are through the roof and I'm busy buying gifts for family/friends.
I'm really tempted to grab Tomb Raider at that price, but I can't shake the nervousness that it'll be a free game for Xbox One as well soon.
I wasn't sure about grabbing this because it seemed steep to pay 20 bucks for an arcade game. However, 8-10 hours of gameplay along with these great reviews, it appears I will definitely be picking this up.
Reported their taking it back to basics thankfully. Just guitar (and bass), drums, and microphone.
I'm glad they're going back to just guitar, drum set, and microphone, it got obnoxious with the different instruments towards the end there. Thankfully I stopped after Rock Band 2, so enough time has passed for me to pick this up and enjoy it again!
The one thing I dislike about Sony: All their wicked cool awesome crap gets released in Japan but rarely makes it here.
I will credit where credit is due. After a full crap-fest of a launch, and months of problems, they have continued to make the game better and better. Played a few matches last night and enjoyed every minute of it.
I can't help but compare to my old favorite shooter: Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow. I haven't been this excited for a new FPS in a very long time.
