Why the jabs at the Xbox One? Can't criticize Sony without dragging MS through the broth a bit huh? Xbox One is more than just features, it actually has games coming and that isn't even factoring all those game rumours.
Other than that, the whole point of proprietary memory cards IS to price gouge. To allow other memory cards instead of lowering the price wouldn't make any business sense.
Can't play call of duty online without it so. . .I mean it is PlayStation's favorite franchise.

I'm confused. You have mentioned how the cartoony, non-realistic looks of Halo, Gears, Fable and Sunset Overdrive aren't your cup of tea since you like realistic looking games and yet you are all for this??

I have had quite a few duds in my last gen gaming career. Out of 112 games that have graced my PS3/X360, the following 9 didn't last more than 3 days before I gave up on them and decided to sell/trade them in for something else.
I buy most of my games from fellow gamers online on the cheap so no real losses made here.

The games off of the top of your head were the only big games of note and some (kz) were above average at best. Also, 30 is not a ka-billion.
Is this what people wanted when they bought their Vita's? 5 AAA games a year and 30 indie games that are available on other platforms already?
Since December is traditionally a month for stellar sales not sub 100k mediocrity. The Vita's competitor sold 10 times more than that during December.
Context, learn what it means. If 90k per month during the busiest time f year is the best Vita can do then might as well close up shop right now.
Wii U sold more than 4 times the amount the Vita did in the month of December according to the NPD. Vita sold 90k in that month. That's just bad.

How you can say spent X amount and then say that the games are free is baffling. Or has it now become okay to say "I pay for multiplayer, the other stuff is a bonus" ?
In my opinion, Halo 4 was the best Heal in terms of story/single player campaign. I've never cared so much for MC as I did in Halo 4. The story was very memorable.
In terms of multiplayer, Halo 3 still holds the crown, but Reach turned me off a bit in that regard so I now play Halo mostly for the fantastic story.
As you said however, different strokes, I respect that you feel differently.
Phil Spencer says the games have generated $1bn so 100 m or less is not a bad sum to pay.
This means any revenue from Gears 1 - Judgement from here on out goes towards MS. Also means we might see more gears games coming to games with gold.
