Well put in every way! IM 27 so I hear you completely. Video games are main stream industry now and it is scary how things are getting, fanboyism and politics is rampant and annoying!
I miss the "simpler days" like you say, play a game for fun, to brag ot your friend or to hang out. Now you need to worry about patches and downlads and leaderboards, stress inducing almost.
Long live the dawn of games and scary is the hand of power that is next gen!
i think you are right that hte PS2 days was where games turned an ugly fanboy corner, everyhitng after the ps2 got ridiculous levels of fanboyism which is getting almost ridiculous for this current gen.
i personally voted for the NES days, that was my real hardcore start in games, but i like the ps2 era as my second choice
The subject is an article, an opinion a thought even. Not everyhtign you read has to be a staright up breaking news article. Not everything in the news paper or CNN is always hard hitting news, at times there are opinion pieces to spark conversation. All these reports classified as lame, or not news is just retarded! We should be able to share opinion pieces or even articles that may make other readers laugh, why does gaming have to be so serious and gamers come off as auch a$$holes. just my ...
8 bit power! NES and Seg Master Systems paved the way for RPG's and great games. Just htink of all the old games that have been redone this generation like Metroid, Ninja Gadien, GTA, etc. Very little new IP's have been killer, they have gone back to the 8bit days and rehashed them!
I was actually very surprised to see that before starting Heavenly Sword it had to install some htings as well. I found that kind of odd? I have gotten update prompts from 360 games but never stuff to install?
THe edit was mean tot be light hearted, we recognize that we jumped on this story too hard and have since acknowledged that it is in game cureency.
People on this site need to get a sense of humor and chill out, gaming shouldnt be about name calling or fanboyism, its supposed ot be fun.
Vista was supposed t be the wave of the future and instead it was just a novelty right now, no one cares about it and its many different versions. I give credit to the ineups of old, especially NES days, those games were great for their time, Tecmo Bowl, Metroid, Super Mario Bros, etc.
too bad my pc is on its death bed and i have no plans of upgrading anytime soon
the game is very impressive! i like the different scenes where you shoot the bow and arrwor the cannon, wit the after touch effects using the six axis. great game very remniscent of God of War!
i dont expect them to say that their lineup will be bad, but the comment about "the best in history" is the one that got me. A bit too bold for my taste. Its like saying Pepsi is the best soft drink in the istory of soft drinks, that isnt exactly true, I like some of those knock off colas.
I think it is one thing to do it in an open forum or blog, but to make that kind of statement in a press release is kind of smug. No one can deny they have made alot of money off of halo but to say they will have the best lineup in history i think is stretching it. the holidays will be close this year between the 3, brawl will be huge as well as mario glaxy and PS3 will have MGS and Ratchet and CLank, plus old the consoles of the past had some great lineups as well. Just a bit of a smug state...
NBA 08 vs. NBA 2k8 vs NBA Live 08, that is alot of basketball and I htink the winner is still going to be the 2k series.
I wonder why they chose to only have it on the PS2? NO next gen love for the Aqua teen gang?
i love it when they try to convince you it will be sold out and you wont find it anywhere, lying sacks of S. AAA titles will always be in stock, oyu think bungie would let there be a shortage of discs, no way!
THe PS3 is an awesome machine and I play Tiger and Resistance on there all the time, but it is a shame that they keep getting beat tot he punch by having to wait for multiplatform games. Stranglehold is a great example of htis, I was geared up to buy hte Collectors Edition of it for the pS3 that included the Hard Boiled movie but it got pushed back, so I just ended up buying the regular 360 version instead. PS3 remote play has awesome potential but so far the only thing that is using it is La...
The demo came out afteer the post and all the press releases that the company sent out were incorrect, stating it would release on October 4th. Blame the game companies for being inaccurate.
I agree, this isnt a Halo only problem. My issue isnt about the pre-orders it is with the fact that if i walk up on launch day to get a title they look at me like i am retarded and odnt want ot sell me the game, even though they have tons on hand. if it is limited then i would understand, like pre-ordering hardware, but software for the most part, especially with AAA titles are never limited in supply.
your right warhawk is a good game and so is heavenly sword but that is it, graw is not new that is a port of an old game, dont be happy about getting table scraps! graw is a good game but has been out for quite some time, same with Rainbow Six, the point is why does it take so long to come out on PS3. I love my PS3 and wish it had more games so I can play with it more.
It is insane to force people to pre-order games that there will be a ton of and then after the pre-order still screw them over. insane!
i really dont enjoy my disc read errors out of no where, or my latest thing is that when i try to view a message the system freezes!? ive yet to run any issuess with the ps3 so far, even my wii has frozen on me a couple of times.
