What a terrible article. The intercooler is completely unnecessary, in addition, I can't see the dual charger as being all that useful. It's odd that they didn't include perhaps one of the most wanted accessories, the Playstation Eye. If anything, they could have included: Bluetooth Headset, Bluetooth keyboard/mouse or Logitech's keyboard with touchpad.

The basis of the article can be seen here: http://support.microsoft.co...

Many technical support sites will include extra information and/or troubleshooting information to help isolate issues.
Under safeguards it lists : Plug the power supply directly into a known good wall outlet. Do not use extension cords or power strips.

All this means is that plugging your powerbrick directly int...

I am eagerly awaiting this game. I am so happy they decided to put it on consoles so that I can enjoy the visuals without having to upgrade my video card. Looks great so far, and I'm glad the dialogue screens are similar to that of the original Fallout series.

Japanese and North American Blu-Ray movies are in the same region. Region 1. So you should be fine playing movies from or in either the US or Japan.

The reason they're making a sequel is because the original sold on appeal to the settings and style. Guns and Swords, period. Why make a new IP when you have the possibility of going back, working with the controls and building on a franchise that has previously sold because of those two reasons? A franchise shooter on the Wii is good business sense. While there's been no official announcement, I do think you'll see a Red Steel 2 in the future.

Now on the topic of Killzone ...

I know you're not likely to believe me, but I'd like to throw my 2 cents into the figurative anecdotal pile. At work today we had at least 4 360 returned on my shift. (8.5 hours) There could likely be at least 1 more from the morning shift. I didn't sell a single 360, but I had to exchange out a minimum of 4.

One had a harddrive failure, the other had 3 red lights, the other had garbled, loud, scratchy sound output, and I didn't find out the reason for the fourth.

The event is scheduled July 10th. They're scheduled conference is July 11th. This is an additional event prior to their 2.5 hour conference the following day. Plus, this is by private invitation, it's not for every attending person at E3, just those that have received a physical invitation. The invitations are limited to 150. So likely, and this is an assumption, it will be a preview followed by a hands on demo for Killzone 2, and possibly an additional game. (although Killzone is the o...

On the note of Halo, I'm really curious to see what direction Killzone's gameplay focus will go in. It's obvious that the big direction of Halo 3 is multiplayer, seeing as Halo 2 is one of the most popular online games for Xbox/360. Perhaps Killzone 2 will focus on Singleplayer? Or maybe they'll try and compete with Halo in multiplayer competitive play. It should be interesting to see.

So far I have loved these Bonus Round videos. I think alot of the discussion is very open and intellectually honest. Alot of the comments being made are very balanced and I really look forward to next week's video.

I disagree, and I'll tell you why.

First, DVD sales are inconsequential to HD-DVD or Blu-Ray format sales. 1% or 2% of total movie sales, it doesn't matter. Early adopters of varying degrees will continue to drive sales up and at a certain point the demand will shift toward the mainstream market after production cost has gone down, awareness has gone up and content has increased. This is the case for most new technology.

Second, the concept that the format with...

There are alot of inaccuracies in this news article. Some of it is technical some of it is not. CRN has a pretty hard hitting headline and I'm very disappointed with the quality of the article because of it.

Microsoft already sells extended warranties. Additional 1-3 years I believe. Given, the turn around will vary from anywhere from a few business days to several weeks.

The only thing that's different is that the Sony extended warranty covers accidental damage. The PSP is the only system with a large risk of accidental damage. It wouldn't really make sense for the 360 to cover accidental coverage seeing as there really isn't (nor shouldn't) be a demand for it.

I...

Was there anyone out there who believed that the 380 titles would all be coming to the US? It was obviously a worldwide statement. Still, PS3 games are not currently region locked, so realistically, besides the PSN games, every retail game is still available.

What a wonderful interview. I love the candid style of the engineers and it was great to hear them speak with a very honest perspective. I could tell that they were very passionate about what they do and it's very heartening.

I think there is some misconception about what they meant by support for games to access the HD for media. Home for example allows you to stream video, access pictures etc. Within the game itself, developers could allow players to access media on their...

Any reader of my posts throughout this website can no doubt assume that I am an owner of the PS3. Happily so I might add. But that's not to say that I'm a fanboy. My first question when I saw this headline was "Who's Matthew Gough? And why do I care?" Unfortunately I wasn't able to find an answer. While I respect his dedication to his web review blog, his opinion carries no gaming industry merit (that I'm aware of, and if he does, then it should be the first sentence or introduc...

After viewing both linked videos, I have to say, there is alot of merit to this rumor. The game itself was never named, all we know is that it's due for a Fall release, it's a multiplatform game and that it will reach the PS3 first because of X360 decision to make a closed platform.

Near the end of the second video, Geoff states, that their closed platform stance is having a real effect on games that are being released, and that a certain game will be coming to the PS3 first becau...

Is it the poorly edited body that includes claims like "number one selling gamestop product" with absolutely no support from the source? Not to mention the source is just a shopping page for the Zune itself.

Alot of criticism of the Zune stems from alot of hardware issues. Such as the screen cracking / splitting from heat during long periods of recharging the internal battery.
