um, you realize that using existing characters in an existing world with an existing engine on the gen it was born on is far far easier right?
yes from a story perspective ff7 is easier, thats as simple as writing a book.
the technical side is why it would take so long, EVERYTHING has to be redone.

ffx was the first linear game of the series, remember it was sorta mission based? you flew from the ship and it teleported you where you wanted to go, the camera angles were already there and it was actually a 3d world. the character models were already great and dont need much more work.
now on the ff7 side, the game would be a drastic overhaul. remember most of the cities in ff7 were pre rendered, there was no camera control so squ...
yeah, im glad they are stopping enslaved, wasn't it supposed to be a trilogy? i think the characters weren't that likable compared to the cast of heavenly sword, and the gameplay in general wasn't as good as heavenly swords, just hope they make a sequel to HS
even if DMC will suck atleast they can use what they learned from making dmc on HS2, could be pretty dang awesome

buut......what about games like kingdom hearts, monster hunter etc? there are going to be games that require the 2nd analog, thats the only big deal, if games weren't going to need it then it wouldn't matter that much.
