"We are happy to announce that Pokemon is finally coming to Switch....with Pokken".
Nintendo Trolls like no other company :(
I think they are getting ready for $249 for slim and $349 for pro.
They can easily drop them to $199 and $299 during Black Friday.
I honestly don't see how Microsoft can compete with that....unless they manage to come up with some truly epic Scorpio exclusives (that also have to run on Xbox One).
The next few months will be interesting.
This is absolutely genius....and honestly I think it's a great fit for families, so the slim instead of the pro makes sense.
If priced correctly on America this could be HUGE.
I have no problem with the price but I have a problem with functionality.
It is absolutely ridiculous that it doesn't work with Bluetooth headsets, that you are required to use an app, that Friend codes are still a thing AND that it's launching next year.
As a Switch owner, this just shows how stubborn and behind the times Japan can be.
A few months back I got a 20th anniversary PS4.
It was the most beautiful console I've ever seen...I felt bad but I sold it on eBay 😢
Y paid $400....I sold it for almost $2,000.
Sony needs to bring that "classic gray" model back.
Still at $250 this would be a hit....just hide it from people 😅
I loved that game.
I think it found the perfect balance between Game and Movie.
Beyond: Two souls took it too far IMO. The controls were very strange and never really got into it. I still remember that infamous finger scene 😅
Hopefully Detroit will come out this year!
It depends on Nintendo more than it does on third parties at this point.
Plenty of people never played a GameCube or a Wii U (I'm one of them).
I got a Switch recently and I love it. If they give me a killer virtual console where I can play high quality ports of games like Metroid Prime, Smash Bros, Luigi's Mansion, Mario Sunshine, etc. the wait between big AAA releases becomes a lot more bearable.
But again....this is Nintendo....
After putting 80 hours I think it deserves all the awards it can get.
I really loved the climbing mechanic....every wall, mountain and surface is a challenge! And more than anything it was FUN to play.
I never found a single glitch either and loved the overall charm and openness...
It's hard to compare it to the Dreamcast but there are indeed many issues with Scorpio.
More importantly the price (something that Sega got right yet it wasn't enough).
Microsoft has said there will not be Scorpio exclusives, so how much better can versions of Scorpio be without alienating XBOX One owners?
If we are talking only resolution bumps....it's DOA without killer exclusives.
So it will officially take (at least) another 3 years.
Been living in Japan for YEARS and they are the definition of inefficient.
At least 1 year will be meetings....1 year scanning rocks....and 1 year releasing collaborations.
THEN development will begin and they will release a statement like "we are surprised that fans really seem to want this title".
I gotta say I actually really liked it.
I had played it before with motion controls and was not a fan. Just played the last test this week (in Tokyo) and it was surprisingly fun!
Specially the volleyball game.
Then again this is Square Enix we are talking about.
Naughty Dog released Uncharted 1,2,3 and The Last of Us (plus single player DLC) before they finished FFXV.
12 gigs of DDR5 RAM and a 4K Blu-ray Drive don't come cheap.
$499 in my opinion and honestly a huge mistake if that's the case.
Sony could easily drop the price of the PRO to $349 and still make money.
Also very curious what Scorpio means to current Xbox One owners...since the power disparity is quite big.
I'm betting +$800 for the Chinese market.
Zero competitive.
Personally I would like to see them develop new IP's and go back to their experimental days.
They found some success with games like Jet Set Radio and Rez....they were cool, different, exciting and probably not THAT expensive to make.
Maybe focus on high quality $39 games? The AAA market is insanely competitive/risky.
I really don't think they can do much with the Sonic formula without alienating long time fans.
Street Fighter should have been a $19 release...not $39.
But then again...Capcom.
Recently upgraded to a PS4 Pro and playing Horizon.
Extremely beautiful game but for some reason, I really LOVED everything about Zelda on Switch. The art direction, the characters, the music...
More importantly, I loved that I could just take it on the train and keep playing.
For my lifestyle, portability really matters more than resolution. Can't wait to Mario Odyssey and hopefully Pikmin!
I wonder how much more advanced Scorpio is....technically it will definitely be the most powerful console.
However, "higher resolution" is hardly a mainstream selling point. Look at iPhones with their 720p/1080p displays!
Depending on the price, Sony could drop the price of the PS4 Pro making it even harder for people to justify getting a Scorpio.
I don't doubt their press conference....
However promising and delivering is not the same. What happened to Project Spark? Or Scalebound? Or Fable? And let's not get started with the power of the cloud!!!
I doubt Scorpio is enough to fix Microsoft's problems....specially if priced $499-599 as expected.
If it reviews well (above 80) I'm definitely getting this.
Enslaved, Heavenly Sword and even DMC are great....Ninja theory deserves more respect.
