I will honestly not get any game at this point made for last gen systems only. I regrettably will buy cross-generational titles into late 2014, because they will noticeable suffer.

No joy for last gen only titles. And it doesn't matter practically, since I don't own a PS3 or 360.

Absolutely loving AC IV though, and can't wait for Ubi to make a real next-gen, open world AC.

If we get two games every month the quality of Resogun and Contrast, I will be absolutely elated. I played Resogun and thought it was a solid 8.5 with considerable replayability.

My 6 year-old daughter and I both enjoyed Contrast. It had some unique elements, especially the shadow play where the princess saves the idiot prince repeatedly. It was well worth the 6-8 hours we spent on it and I would give it a solid 8 with not much replayability.

Games like Flo...

I love my PS4 but I did expect a free game in December, at least one. If I has to guess, it would have been Flower. Knack seems like it could be free in 6 months, and Killzone at some point in Q3 or Q4, but that seems less certain.

And why can't more older games not be compiled quickly since it is x86 architecture? Like Walking Dead, Guacamelee, Terraria, The Cave, tons of Steam games in the $10-$20 range, and any old Sony game that was released on PC.

I am thankful for a site that aggregates all of the best and most current gaming articles in one place, so that a passionate fanbase can celebrate and argue their favorite hobby / obsession / esport with like-minded gamers, nerds, and fanboys.

You didn't just compare Ryse to Uncharted? I seriously laughed OUT LOUD at my house at 6am.

Thank you for that! LOL for real.

NBA 2K14 is breathtaking to look at and a absolutely amazing to play. The right analog stick has maybe 50-75 functions but is entirely intuitive and easy to learn, but difficult to master.

NBA Live is a flaccid disgrace. Proof positive that the NFL needs to lose its exclusivity. Those suits probably have no idea how absolutely horrendous Madden is. Other commenters here are right, NFL 2K from years ago with 1080p and no other changes would be clearly superior to Madden.

This is the first time I have actually watched an interview of him, and I have to say this guy is about and cool and laid back as a multimillionaire with a ton of influence, power, and imminent stress could be. He does incredibly well with jokes and forthright answers, and that is not even considering this is not his native language.

TLDR:

Shu + Cerny + 8GBDDR5 + cheaper = game over for the $haft

I am 36 and my daughter is 6, and we needed a PS4 game to play together. I'm getting NBA2K14 and Killzone for myself, but Knack looks great for co-op came-couch play. She saw the video and thought it looked cool. We love playing WiiU together, and her most anticipated game, well ever, is Mario 3D. We just love playing games co-op which is why Pikmin wasn't as great for us as it could have been, but how Knack could be a game that will get her used to a "real" controller (thou...

I didn't buy my Wii U to play third party titles. There are a few gems along the way like Rayman Legends (absolutely undeniably epic and best on the Wii U), and some good games like Zombi U. But I bought it to play all the Marios, Zeldas, Kart, Smash Bros, Pikmin, Kirby, and more.

And, I'll definitely be getting ACIV on my PS4. I don't know any real gamers (adults) who will ONLY own a Wii U, but I know that most of my gamer friends (adults in their 30s) will own a...

This will be a great game every year, and a definite value for $10. I enjoy it so much more on the iPad than Steam. WiiU, PS4, Steam, and iPad - the perfect gaming storm.

I ditched cable (actually satellite, DirecTV) years ago for the trio of Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Prime. We were getting Amazon Prime before I even cared about streaming, as it's such a good deal for us (we spend hundreds on their monthly, including food).

$16 for streaming, and all we miss is CBS (which has a great app and can be torrented), and some live sports. Most NFL is on over-the-air TV. And NBA League Pass fills my NBA void.

Preordered my PS...

I have already ordered my PS4, and I already have a Wii U. I am a father with a young daughter, who loves to game WITH me, and we just love the Wii U. Her fave system is the 3DS XL, but who doesn't love about 20+ games on that system.

But she played the crap out of some Mario Kart on regular Wii for a 4-5 year old. She is pumped to get this game, and even she can tell the difference in the graphics immediately.

I don't personally care if the Wii U has...

Their R&D for asshattery must be enormous.

Nintendo needs to make these points clear:

1. WiiU is a new system, and is $299, the cheapest by far.
2. It is the only system that is fully backwards compatible. You can play all of your Wii games.
3. You can also use all of your existing Wii controllers.
4. EXCLUSIVES: Mario Kart, two Zeldas, 3D Mario, Smash Brothers, Donkey Kong, Pikmin 3, Bayonetta, X, Lego Undercover, Yoshi Epic Yarn, Wonderful 101, ZombieU, Nintendoland, Wii Fit, Wii Sports, and...

SO, after everything settles, one of the most important decisions in this generation of gaming will be the fact that the PS Eye was not bundled into the PS4. That and a little nudge pushed the PS4 to $400 and the Xbone to $500. I know plenty of gamers who do not care about the DRM (they seem like good enough people with families, but might be dudebros at heart).

PS4 will probably outsell the Xbone 3:2 but could do 2:1 due to the Xbone launch a year later in tiny markets calle...

Absolutely loved it. I already have and love my WiiU Can't wait to add a new PS4 to our home as well.

PS4 (most everything) + WiiU (Zeldas, Marios, Pikmin, Mario Kart, X, Yoshi Epic Yarn, Smash Bros) + 3DS (Fire Emblem, Mario Golf) + iPad + PC (Civ, Skyrim, Massive Chalice) = gaming heaven. Why would anyone want an Xbone if they have all of this?

4602d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

You could at least do it onto the Xbone FAQ/fap sheet. It's about all it's good for.

Got it for my daughter, very techie and smart 6 year old. It is so full of cute and fun for a kid. Nintendo really outdid themselves on this one and perfected everything that is Animal Crossing. I'm more of a Fire Emblem or Civilization or Mass Effect kind of guy, but she loves this one.

Take my money. So glad to make the switch from Xbox to PS4. I've always had Nintendo, but I am so looking forward to Sony's offerings.
