Variable refresh rate won't remove frame drops from games, but it will remove the stutter that happens when the frame rate drops. That's the beauty of VRR :)

I doubt you're running it at 500 fps, even if you are using the FPS unlocker mod. Even then, you're missing out on playing online. I'm using the mod in offline mode, with a 3070. So, no upgrade needed.

Nah mate. Elden Ring has ruined open world games for me. While side quests are too obtuse and probably needs a little more guidance to actually be feasible achievements without googling solutions, I think no other game has done exploration better.

On PC, the same games run on different systems regardless of how different their specs are and the fidelity at which the game runs. On consoles, they don't, unless the publisher allows for free upgrades to versions on the newest console. That's not because it's impossible. Publishers just don't allow it because they can get away with it. Console players deserve better. It's the same game, just on a better machine, but since it's made by the same company you shouldn'...
