i'm glad to see sony doing these kinds of things that why I support them.

I think alot of people forget that the 3DO came out at a different point in gaming history. What might not have work then, may work today. Look at the Dreamcast- a console that was to advanced for it's time but if it had have came out later it might have been totally successful.
No one is saying that Microsoft is not innovative because they are. But competition brings new ideas and developments. The ps3 is the most advance console on the market today, but will all that advanced technology be put to good use by developers other than Sony that is the really question.
I agree with most of what you said, but you don't have to wait for video messaging. You don't have to use the new eye for that, any pc web cam will do or even the ps2's eye toy. And I agree that achievements and gamercards are not important (even though they do add to some games), are more of a luxury rather then necessity.
Yeah just like xbox live. Ad's on every menu, and charging for almost every piece of content. You sure you're not talking about xbox live.
I swear, you never give it a rest. The ps3, 360, and the wii will do fine this generation. Just because you don't like a system doesn't mean it will fail. Hell I don't like the 360 but i'm not going to call it a failure because of that.

if you look at those numbers the ps3, ps2, and psp i'd say sony is doing very well.
played the demo disk from gamespot and i downloaded it off the store to compare the two and even though the demo disk has sharper colors the psn demo was very crisp and no problems at all
yeah and for the 360 owners that paid $400 for 640p. Not even HD they would have been better off with an xbox.
