Why is it a surprise? The consoles are using AMD hardware. Why is this even a article?

Only if they intend on releasing it next year. So if they want it to come out next year then you will see the announcement at spike, gameplay at E3, and a release for the Holiday season next year.

Personally I dont think that they will do that because they have to build the foundation of a new engine with all the next gen features that will be used on all their games next gen including the next Elder Scrolls. I think Fallout 4 will be released 2015 with information on it rele...

I think that DICE is purposely not doing the best they can from a graphical standpoint and feature standpoint because they want to add to the longevity of the franchise as much as they can without reaching a saturation point like COD. I believe that they actually have the capability to really have a feature rich and very good looking graphical game but since its the beginning of the console cycle they didnt give us everything yet. You guys need to wait a couple of years when these next gen g...

Its not going to happen they have their hands full with star wars battlefront and the new mirrors edge. If anything they might get another studio to bring back the bad company series.

The only reason why they kept it 64 for pc is because they wanted consoles to catch up to bf3 for pc. Its a good marketing plan because it makes next gen consoles seem that much more attractive.

IMO you have two next gen terminologies.

Company Next Generation- Which is of course literally the latest iteration of the said device. Example would be Nintendo going from the Wii to the Wii U.

Next Generation Experience- This is when a console takes a technological leap from its predecessor thus pushing games to a new experience such as graphical capabilities, better AI, Better sound, more npc's on screen etc.

In the case of the Wii U I...

IT will be more of a disaster if they let microsoft get a 2 year jump on them, it was bad enough microsoft got one year this generation.

DirectX has to do with game engines. For example Unreal Engine 3 uses directx 9. So if the ps3 has a game released with the Unreal Engine that means it was made with Direct X 9 features. Its the third party use of it, not sony.

Can you say Tessellation? More polygons WILL be in the next gen because the next gen will be using DirectX 11

If bethesda goes back to only making games for the xbox and pc then I wont be mad at them for doing it. I think its sony fault for making a system thats hard for developers to develop on.

I'm with you I'd rather more beefy hardware capable of complex games rather then their so called "innovation" like play station move or any other irrelevant feature that cost a lot but adds little to the gaming experience.

I think we will see a lot less Reveals this year because most games that are not announced by now are next gen games and we all know those wont be unveiled until E3.
