My friends whom are massive gears fans are going to love this game. Good score.
Agreed, I absolutely LOVE this game but it is overhyped.
Agreed, it's better than not fixing the issues at all.
This shouldn't be a big issue to be honest.
Good for them, also has a positive flow on effect for New Zealand as well since we get their games from them.
That was a very moving letter and he didn't really need to do that, was very noble of him. With that said I actually still don't understand the whole issue because I truthfully don't know who to believe, Konami or Guy?
However I still want to go to Silent Hill. That is the main concern.
Dislike this article, basically tells you to skip all of the HD port games, skips potentially good games etc. I don't like being told what not to buy, what if that game turns out to be very good when I play it? At the end of the day it's their opinion.
I'd wait for reviews, they will determine if the new VAs are REALLY that godawful or if the issue was actually overblown.
Ignore him. It's his problem, not yours.
If you want to buy the collection, buy it.
If you don't want to, don't.
Personally I haven't played Silent Hill 2 or 3 but I have played through Silent Hill 1 and 4 so in terms of VAs it's pretty moot for me.
I never played Silent Hill 2 or 3 but played 1, 4 and Homecoming so I have some interest in the collection.
Honestly in my opinion, in terms of voice acting it's like comparing one piece of turd to another. From what I hear, the voice acting in 2 was actually bad to begin with and seeing a comparison vid between the two I don't see the new VAs being any good either.
Either way if I play the originals or the new collection I would still be bothered by ...
UC = CoD?
GTFO! It's nowhere near that franchise!
I have played the second extensively, after playing the beta I noticed the flaws alot more in the multiplayer.
That and the health in UC2 is lower than in UC3 which I now find unenjoyable. Co-op is still one of the best modes to play on.
Can't wait but I am worried that this game will not live up to its hype.
The beta was a blast for me though.
Activision: Agreed, plus milking GH to death and shutting down True Crime.
EA: Partially agree but meh I don't care.
Sega: Please elaborate?
Lionhead: Partially agree but unnecessary.
Ubisoft: meh
Bethesda: Agreed but I'm not going to boycott them like with Activision.
Valve: ...
Remedy: No comment as I don't know what they did.
SquareEnix: I agre...
Yep, you can't forget the ziplines.
Erm ... in my opinion I'm not sure what to make of it. I don't hate it completely but I'm not over the moon over it either.
Although I have not played Silent Hill 2 I have watched trailers. They definitely sound completely different to each other and I can see why fans are alienated by the new voice overs.
Mary sounds rougher and older in the HD collection, that's one thing I've noticed so far. I'll need to hear more to make a concrete...
It's set at night time instead of the day and there are treasure chests placed along the map.
That's the difference really.
Great news, wasn't my favourite map but I would probably like it more with the higher health in Uncharted 3.
With that map in mind I'm hope all of the maps in Uncharted 2 make a return, At the moment there are more maps in Uncharted 3 than in Uncharted 2 in terms of upon release (excluding DLC maps of course)
Not a huge fan of the franchise but I agree, it's just silly to say "If you've seen one resistance you've seen them all" as that can apply to other games as well.
I'm looking at you CoD.
Resistance at least tries to experiment with different genres and gameplay.
@xtreampro
coolstorybro, now go back to playing games.
... I need to change my pants. They're soaking wet.
