I hate to bring it up, but the game actually looks a lot like Killswitch did except with some updated gameplay mechanics resembling Gears of War. I can see why they called it a clone, the animations and characters are way too similar. They should try doing their own take on the 3rd person style/cover system like Uncharted did.
Braid is the best game in my book. It should have made the list.
There are 150million ps2s out there. What did people do with them if they are asking for backwards compatibility? and it's not like the ps2 is discontinued. Nobody complains when nintendo don't do it. Old consoles are cheap as well, it's really not a problem.

touchy subject. Some genuine points made in the article from a gamers point of view. Not everyone plays on an HDTV so I could see this being a problem for some. Obviously you want to experience such a great game to its fullest, yet not everyone can afford an HDTV.
For the record, I think the guy is complaining about the fact that it looks a lot blurrier than other games when played in SD(he didn't have this problem with the first Uncharted). People are too quick to attack round...
obviously a FF7 remake would have no impact it would be ridiculous to think otherwise. Exclusives do make a difference though. Just look at the impact of series like GT, MGS and Halo for example and imagine if GTA(a full GTA game) or CoD was exclusive. That would change everything. These decisions can be key for people unsure which console to buy.
ZZZzzzz...
they picked one game for each year so it was always going to miss a number of 'wow' games, the definition itself being pretty subjective in the first place.
your opinion is correct, I also get tired of the race non-issue being made into an issue especially in the UK(i guess that is where you are from since you mention the BNP). Everything gets blown out of proportion in the UK. I don't read news papers or watch the news anymore as a result of people being obsessed with race and immigration. We are going in the wrong direction by becoming obsessed with it. Walking down the streets of glasgow is very multicultural and it is the same elswhere in the...
The man is criminal and they posted his picture. woopty fricken do. Next you'll be telling us how the film avatar is racist like that awful sensationalist article by the telegraph suggested.
Arnold was an ass though, he was always screwing over Gerald because of his 'conscience'. It used to piss me off. Great show still.
I've still got most of these games on hard copy including the honourable mentions. A lot of these are genuinely top class and still hold up today in gameplay standards. I'm actually selling the classics twisted metal world tour and megaman legends 2 on ebay just now... don't tell the mods ;)
price/preference
I buy 360 games on PC but it's understandable why people would prefer a console. Alan Wake and Halo Reach are both 360 exclusive at the moment and they are looking good.
@below - Alan Wake still has a good chance of coming to PC not too long after, I reckon they put it on hold to speed up development of the game(along with other reasons of course). The Halo series is due another classic and will likely stay exclusive.
I agree with JOYs basic premise that ps3 fanboys change their tone depending on how it fits their cause, but he still beats around the bush on the point I made. How can an article single out the ps3 when the 360 has done no better. The 360 has way more consoles in the UK. Why did the article not pick up on the fact that the 360 exclusives have done poorly? You can't attribute all those L4D2 sales to the 360, that's naive to say the least especially considering Valve are PC developers and that...
The reasons are valid whether you agree with them or not(I don't agree with them) though I, and I think most people, could never hate the Zelda series. The original NES zelda was about the first game I ever played along with Paper Boy and Marble Madness... and boy was it in another league compared to those two its contemporaries.
if you look at edge for example, they gave kz2 a 7/10 and Lets Tap on wii an 8/10. That's the problem with looking at the score of reviews, it's not always a fair reflection of the overall quality especially when the reviewers don't know how their own scale works. I don't begrudge sites for falling into this trap though because it can be difficult to avoid.
I guess they expected ps3 standards on the psp. A lot of websites don't know how to review psp games because they have no system of comparison for it. It results in them getting compaired against console games over DS games because they tend to be more similar to the consoles.
there is only one 360 exclusive in the charts and I don't see anybody here critisizing how poorly 360 exclusives have done so you're point is pretty invalid. The article could have easily jumped on this fact but chose otherwise.
The fact of the matter is that multiplatform games like Fifa, CoD and the popular wii games are going to steamroller over everything in the UK. I don't understand why people would expect otherwise.
Did anyone else notice that there is only one 360 exclusive on that list and that is forza3, L4D2 also available on PC remember. That is far more surprising considering the amount of 360s in the UK far outnumber the amount of ps3s.
We in UK love our pop games like everyone else in the west, hence wii games and the blockbuster multiplats are at the top. Talk about sensationalist headlines...
kill switch was a terrible game with a mediocre cover system. are you suggesting it is better than gears and uncharted?
