I think I'll buy a second hand PSP for this and then sell it on when i'm done. I've got no interest in handhelds but i'm a MGS fan.
The irony of it all is that this will have scared people off buying the game resulting in less sales and more pirated copies. Ubisoft are sooting themselves in the foot here, I just hope other publishers do not follow.

I think sony was hoping for it to be psn's main feature but it didn't turn out that way. The launch ads for the ps3 in the UK advertised Home specifically and as a main selling point for the ps3. If Sony want Home to become big, then they need to integrate it in some form within the xmb for the release of the ps4 with some innovative ideas backing it up. If they don't do this then it is doomed to mediocrity.

Valve arn't lazy. They put 100% into their projects and im sure if they were to use motion control they'd look to innovate with it as opposed to the standard of just doing what so far works. The majority of their games try to do something new and innovative, just because they are currently not interested in the ps3 it doesn't mean that they are lazy. I suppose Insomniac are lazy for only developing on ps3 right?
Pressure sensitivity doesn't work in FPS because you never need to 'half shoot' as it were therefore still making it difficult to shoot quickly. I accept your opinion on the driving games however, there is no genuine reason why people should prefer this for FPS.
I don't see how buying these and reassigning R2 to shoot over R1 would help with anything. It only creates a greater distance than what you would otherwise need to push the shoot button down. That's the problem with the 360's triggers, they are slow compared to the R1 button on the dualshock and the RB on 360 is awkwardly positioned if you wanted to reassign to that. I see too many people shooting pistols at the speed of old grannies in FPS... maybe it's just the novelty of pressing a trigger...
I think people disagree that the ps3 will take off like it did in the ps1/ps2 days. The competition is tougher, nintendo have been dominating and the xbox360 has been selling well. It was there for the taking the last two gens, this gen has already been taken.
My sentiments on a game usually echo that of gamespot so in my opinion they are the best reviewers out there. They are probably the most fair minded site and are more professional with their reviews as they don't rush to review a game before everyone else(think MAG which is obviously a game that some sites didn't take their time over). I think some ps3 fanboys round here are still bitter over their ratchet and clank review, but that's fanboys for you.
You could say the same about the 360. It does about the same numbers as ps3 games. Each console has their big seller that does over the top numbers. GT5 is the playstations Halo, then you have MGS/Gears of War coming in around 5million, followed by your forza, resistance, mass effect, killzone, left 4 dead and Uncharted numbers coming in around 2-3million.
It's just a popular misconception that ps3 games don't sell.
I'm sorry to hear that MGS doesn't do it for you. It's personally my favourite series of all time. The story has great depth, the characters are unique, the dialogue is epic and the gameplay is innovate, ground-breaking and just plain fun. It boggles the mind how anyone could not like it.

nobody in the real world cares, it's not like it's personal. I wouldn't let one guys words at the whole of valve put you off enjoying a game. You're punishing yourself more than anything.
Agreed, I hope that people will never stoop to this level in retaliation. No matter how much you dislike the jerks and fanboys round here, you're only going to ruin the game for the majority who are here for their gaming news and a bit of banter with fellow gamers. Spoilers are the lowest of the low, worthy only of scumbags and I hope this stunt is never repeated.
