This is actually a pretty good review. IMO I would have scored it a little higher, but then again I played more games than you have so that could lead to you scoring it higher or even lower, depending on the games you play. I would say try Kinect Sports if you can, it's a great game. Dance Central IMO was great also, but since you get a demo of it, you can decide for yourself.
I agree about the lag, every time I play I never notice it, but when I watch someone else play,...
"Xbox site= vote doesn't count"
How so? Sony and Microsoft are in direct competition with each other, almost to the point where sometimes they forget Nintendo exists. Other companies speaking on their competition is nothing new.
No I say blame the fans for the insanely stupid hype. Sony hardly hyped the game at all.
@MariaHelFutura - Where did I say the game was a failure? So far it has an average of 8.6 on Metacritic, which is great, but the fans have been hyping it up so much like it deserves nothing less than a 10.
FYI I do have a PS3, I actually have a few people on this site added to my friends list. If you read IGN's review you would know why they gave the graphics an 8.5. ...
Yes as long as you past the contributors test. Just click submit, then user review. It won't be on the front page but rather in its own section.
EDIT: I lied, it will be on the front page technically, but not under all the articles you see. If you scroll down and look to the right, you will see a tiny section of the most recent user reviews.
Unless MS pulls a bunch of exclusives out their ass I say 2011 belongs to Sony. MS has a few great exclusives next year, but Sony has many more. IMO 2010 belonged to MS with games like Mass Effect 2, Halo Reach, Fable 3, Alan Wake, Crackdown 2, Perfect Dark classic remake, along with a good start for Kinect. As far as 2011 though, I'm 99% certain Sony will own that year, especially since they have games like SOCOM 4, Twisted Metal, Killzone 3, Little Big Planet 2, inFamous 2, etc.
That's not spelling, that's punctuation. A+ for trying though ;)
"Well to have the best racing experience you must have GT5"
Um no that's called an opinion. If someone plays both GT and Forza, but doesn't like GT, that doesn't mean they didn't have the best racing experience. The best racing experience is the one you personally like the best, not what someone on the internet thinks is the best.
Hell someone could say Burnout is the best racing experience if that's what they enjoy.
The only review that can be trusted is your own. A review can say GT5 sucks big harry donkey nuts, doesn't mean it does to you. The only really good thing reviews are for is pointing out flaws like, frame rate issues, lag, bad AI, freezes, corrupt game saves, horrible glitches, etc.
I don't think Microsoft was ever afraid of GT. It's not like Forza has ever failed in terms of reviews or sales. I could see if Xbox didn't have it's own racing sim, but it does so it really doesn't matter. MS should be more afraid of platformers like LBP, sure they have Limbo, but LBP is on a whole new level. MS needs something like LBP, not a racer, shooter, sim, etc.
From what I'm gathering on the reviews, it just seems GT5 isn't really anything new in terms of GT. Sure there are awesome features like weather, Go Karts, and Nascar, but it seems to be the same old GT. Also the premium cars seem to look fantastic, but when you have a standard car next to it, it's like comparing a PS2 game to a PS3 game. The damage just seems like a huge disappointment as people been waiting for it, and it's barely even noticeable and somewhat laughable, alon...
No not $70, and not $75 either, try $60. What you decide is worth it and what some else decides is worth it is all opinion based.
@zeksta - You're defending a game by bashing a service? lol
Well sometimes I wonder if you are....but that's beside the point.
Wow no Weather love? IMO one of the coolest things about GT5 was the weather, the rain and now looked awesome.
I wouldn't say bad AI, long loading screens and frame rate issues is really nitpicking because any game can be downplayed for that. Things like only certain cars having interior views is though since it's been known for a long time. It's like bashing a multiplayer game for not having co-op when they already said there is no co-op. Those 3 things I listed above though, you can't actually know without playing the game.
To be fair, they did give 10 reason why to love it in a different article. More like two separate articles for Pros and Cons rather than wins and fails.
I'm sure one person did that, but that picture is to funny to pass up. Why the guy under the table is wearing a mask is beyond me since the guy can't see him anyway, but still funny as hell.
@deadreckoning666 - Actually someone else here posted it first (don't remember who), but still it's a great pic.
Gran Turismo 5: the fans like it a lot, but don't quite love the reviews.

In your opinion is surpasses them, not everyone. You can't force GT fans to like Forza, and you can't force Forza fans to like GT.
lol learn to read, 5/5 not 5/10.
@TheBest - That one person said that, not all of IGN. If the person who said that, is also the reviewer of Forza 3, which scored higher. That man is the biggest hypocrite if I ever seen one.
