Want. Now. :)
Really looking forward to trying out the wager match gametype in this one. Should be interesting.
@HyperBear
No, I wouldn't go that far, but I would say that it's important for reality to match expectations. A game that is simple, basic and cheap is not going to be judged on the same level as a game that has millions of dollars of funding and is a AAA level release.
For example, Cannabalt is incredibly simple (no MP, just one button, just one action, etc.) yet it is still a great game. Another game may offer a whole bunch of extra features, bu...
I think it's a matter of what the game offers.
If you're putting forth both a SP and MP component to your game, then both should be of equally high standards.
A game that only offers SP or MP isn't going to be judged on something that was never offered, but a game that offers both and falls short it one area is going to be dinged for it.
Multiplayer was great, but SP just didn't hold up. Felt like a rehash.
Halo 3: O.D.S.T. had a better SP campaign.
Yeah, I'm curious to see how the PC version compares to the console port.
The simple fact that this works is pretty suprising. Like GrieverSoul alluded to above, this sort of thing simply is NOT supposed to happen.
The Xbox 360 hypervisor should be shutting this down before it even gets to this point.
Someone, somewhere screwed up big time.
If you're in Oz, that's true. If you're in the USA, the D.M.C.A. says otherwise, making it illegal to mod a console because you are circumventing copyright protection measures. Ditto for the UK. Illegal as well.
Just because many people don't like the laws, doesn't mean they don't exist.
It was originally teased back in 2008 and then the producer has talked about it, but Ubi never actually committed to releasing it. Even though the original Beyond Good and Evil was a stellar game it was released into a crowded market with little advertising and as a result the sales numbers weren't so hot.
It's a prime candidate for one of the Xbox Live Gold sales.
Free Portal rocks.
Nope. The two are completely unrelated on the Xbox 360.
@hoskind Why would you say that?
A game being region free has absolutely -ZERO- to do with piracy.
Japan/Asia/Australia don't get it until the end of May. Two weeks after the rest of the world.
It's also a plus if you're a fan of Japanese shooters and happen to have a JPN Xbox 360 as your primary console here in the US.
Japanese developers seem to like region locking their stuff, while a lot of western publishers don't.
The Xbox 360 is not a region free console (every single one has a region code) however the games themselves can be region free.
The choice to make a game region free or region locked is completely up to the publisher.
Just getting basic rendering running is a monumental task. I'd expect things to progress nicely over the next month or so.
It's not like emu authors just click their fingers and have it working out of the box. ;)
I'm of a mixed opinion. On the one hand, it's awesome if it is true gameplay features/enhancement. But on the other, if games just do the unlockable thing is it really a bonus or just a ploy to get consumers to buy both versions of the game?
Yes, same store. They also sell video games on their web site. All the B&N video games however are "fulfilled by GameStop." They basically use Gamestop's stock to deliver on all their sales.
Incidentally, both B&N and GameStop are now showing "out of stock" for the Xbox 360 Arcade. Guess the sale worked.
@EvilTwin The fight with the purple bug monster is in an "open" space insomuch as a fighting game like SC or DOA is in an open space. Camera is always pointing to the center and you can circle the monster.
@Arius Dion I agree with you on the voice acting angle. While the woman who voiced Samus isn't exactly the voice that I had imagined for her, I don't think there was enough in the demo to say she did a bad job. I'd venture that most people were simply projecting the...
BG&E 2 has just been seen in trailer form.
This one (BG&E HD) has already been seen up and running by multiple people. ;)
