Then we can see ugly suits like we see ugly, hot pink neon nonsense on Call of Duty guns. Leave the suit creation to the studio's talented artists.
It's fanboyism, and you helped! 👍
They pounced on it for the X1 timed crap; that's one reason, surely. Many despise the timed thing but it's never really bothered me personally. For one, I own both platforms, and two, I don't play these games, but I digress.
I honestly believe the biggest reason for the hatred the genre receives is the association it has with popular streamers that people find douchey. Their lucrative streaming 'jobs' stir up resentment and jealousy, and some people thin...
Part of it is the popularity; people love to hate what's popular, but another part is resentment and the belief that developers are misallocating their talents.
Fortnite has a lock on the genre, with Apex and CoD Blackout trailing a little, but together they're a triumvirate dominating the genre; no question. Three firmly entrenched and dedicated BR games, yet still developers are flailing away trying to get in on the action.
Now Housemarque, a re...
Man, I know. I wish Fallout 3 and 4 had been more "true." "True" gamers know the truth; that every game after the first two was utterly untruthful first-person garbage.
True, true, true TRUTHFACT.
Everything's repetitive; what matters is how much you enjoy the repetition. I played a lot of Odyssey and I found it fulfilling, but I can understand how others wouldn't.
Also, I really hope that Viking rumor is true; I would love a Viking setting.
I wouldn't blame anyone for taking a shot at the BR genre, as it really is over-saturated, and it carries the cringy Twitch, YouTube hype, crap nonsense with it.
But maybe that's just me.
Let's not forget the fanboys that painted every negative review as an attack on the game due to its Conservative tone or it being a Sony exclusive. 'That's' why all these sites gave it average scores; because they hate Sony and Conservatives, and not because they played it and just, you know, found it to be an average video game. Oh no, it's all an agenda against Sony and/or Conservatism.
Give us a break.
Did you take him seriously when he said that Phil Spencer single-handedly saved the video game industry, which he obviously did?
I'm experimenting with this comment.
The game has been in development since May of 2016, well before Microsoft acquired Obsidian.
Sony just needs to keep doing what they're doing. Microsoft can do as it likes, but it's my 'hope' that they nurture the studios they've acquired and bring out some big games rivaling Sony's powerhouses.
Naughty Dog may have always been 'good' but Sony nurtured that studio and enabled it to be what it is today, which is brilliant.
I enjoyed this game and its combat thoroughly, but by the end I was burned out and I really just wanted to move onto something else.
I wish that flipping territories had some story significance; that would have really made their existence compelling.
That was a really good twist and definitely the most compelling story moment of the game.
From what I've gathered about the game and its tone thus far, I'm guessing that Mikkelsen was probably more suited to the role and Kojima's vision.
Simply the better fit; no snub to Keanu.
I hope it isn't too much of a clone. Drawing inspiration from the best of Fallout is certainly in the interest of anyone who enjoys Fallout games, but I hope it has some nice, new systems that really set it apart from Fallout and make it truly unique.
I'll definitely be trying this Day One on Game Pass.
Good comment; no really.
Agreed.
The game is on par with so many action-adventure, clear-the-map games. Story's got some good moments and the fate of a certain character leaves us with a nice cliffhanger before for the inevitable sequel.
Still, there's nothing "brilliant" or "amazing" or "incredible" about the writing or game play. It is simply average to good, and when it's good, it's really 'only' good.
I ...
These pretzels... are making me thirsty.
The only console wars that actually exist are between fanboys. The rest of us just enjoy our hobby like normal people.
That's assuming there wouldn't be a hub-like section where you could browse other people's creations and download them. Since this is all hypothetical, I can assume this.
Also, assuming players 'couldn't' share suit creations, I still wouldn't be keen on seeing other people's suit creations via their gameplay on YouTube, Live from PlayStation, etc.
I like the suits available now; there's more than enough, imo.
