Look, as good as Reach will be, it will never be GOTY. Why? Its a first-person shooter. Mass Effect 2 has a way, WAY better chance for GOTY.

Im sorry, but MS would rank as the dumbest publisher on the planet if they release Gears this year. First, having Gears and Halo in one holiday season would hurt both games, and they wouldnt have anything next year. Plus, it means more attention away from Natal.
If MS is revealing any new games at E3, they'll be XBLA games and Natal games. And lets face it, Natal games arent exactly Mass Effect 2-GOWIII caliber.

Again with these articles. People are already claiming it year of 360 when Sony hasnt even announced its holiday lineup yet. And judging by production values, GOWIII is looking like the best game this year.

Cross-game chat at this point is a given, and a universal system for inviting friends to games is NEEDED. Also, the friends list overall needs to be more organized, and everything needs to be integrated with the console UI. Just make it easier to connect with friends, and the PS3 will be a perfect console.

The exact reason people partake in the entertainment industry and more importantly video games is because life isnt fair. Video games are used as an [entertaining] distracting from that unfair life. Right now, there are many games that warrant the $60 purchase, thus video games are fair. I understand that there are currently many problems with this model. $60 is still a lot of money ($50 is the perfect price) and that limits the amount of people able to buy games. Ya, no doubt credit must be given out when credit is due. This game is impressive, by any standard. This, along with Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M, and hopefully Retro's next game, will keep me from selling my Wii for a while.

Interesting, so the attach rate is higher. Thats actually very impressive. But letting MS grab all these third-party exclusive advertisement campaigns isnt the way to go IMO. GTA IV, FF13, MW2 etc...
Also this pretty much means 2010 is the end of the third party exclusive. I predict the future installments of the Splinter Cell franchise and Mass Effect to appear on PS3.
ok....Im not saying thats its not possible for Alan Wake to be better. All Im saying is that I havent seen anything from this game that eclipses Dead Space when comes to the atmosphere and overall creepy factor.
Im very happy that it did. I cant even imagine what GTA, Uncharted, and all these other games would be like if it wasnt for Gears of War and Resident Evil 4.
Maybe something outside the US would be interesting.
