I don't mind. I just upgraded my rig, so I will be getting quake. Doom did what I told those it would do. Even with people bitching of the "compromise" that it had to do. It has started to peek interest in something that was long dead. And that's awesome.
Besides let the "pc master race" get a exclusive. So far they only get shit MOBA and grindfest MMO's.
I'll be playing this for two more weeks. Then I'll return it back to gamefly. Attack of titans is coming out on the 30th.

Aye, but FO and Witcher was rich with story. In the main storyline and those side quests. Something NMS does not have. Much of the boredom many are complaining about would have been mute if Co op was added.
Read my comment. I say that it is stupid that they didn't ADD it. So much space wasted. It sitting at the score that its sitting on metacritic for a reason. Much of the complaints of boredom could have been elevated with co op. Not talking pvp.
People making excuses for this game not having multiplayer. Shit even Mind craft has CO OP. lol To miss such a vital component is mind boggling.
Before any goes about how they enjoyed playing SOLO in souls games... every souls game had multiplayer.

They could have added bleeding co op. Mine craft has that shit. Just with that, it would have added a higher review score from many. SO far it's 69 score on meta critic. and 49 score with users.

A vast universe with nothing to do. "But it has mining!" So does Eve online, and that game is as fun as watching water boil.
This is a game that should have had co op. Mine Craft had co op for bleeding sake. It would have added it's longevity. But next game that comes out, NMS is forgotten.
I played the game for almost 9hrs now. I can't do more then 2hrs straight. Have to take break and come back. Never had that problem with other games.
Its feels like work. The farming is real. You punch in, you go mine some gold. You take it back to space station, and sell. Repeat. Buy a ship. More slots to put more shit you mine in. Repeat.
If that's your cup of tea. Fine. But I do understand how this game got a 7 or below.
"profound effect" lol Sure. Minecraft is something that had more of a profound effect, with copy cats all over.
And I'll say has more replay value, BECAUSE OF MULTIPLAYER. Seriously I might understand having no PVP in this game, But no CO OP?
The game itself is a test to ones patients. How much mining and selling can you do in 3hrs before you clock out? Cant wait to get that paycheck on friday... no wait... It's just a game.
So far 70 on metacritic. And less from user reviews. But I'm sure they all got it wrong... geez. This game doesn't need defending. Neither does your taste in games, which seems to be what most concerned about. You like it? Everyone else doesn't? Who cares.
I wonder what the excuse of the fan boys are when this game gets not just from users but critics a score that is lower than 80? Cause just taking a peek at metacritic, it's heading there.

One that shows the power of the current system. Graphics ain't everything, but they are defining points to the game system. From atari, to nintendo, to super nintendo and genesis.
Shovel knight is fun. So is minecraft. But no one gets a PS4 or high end rig to show off those games. For me those games ain't worth $60. And neither are games that require you to have the patience to think watching paint dry is fun. (looking at you eve online)
Little nightmares to me looks better. The first person run and hide game is not new, and I don't see this adding anything new.
