Playing old games generally only feeds our nostalgia and want to see what changes have been added to their visuals. I've NEVER seen so many people hung up on BC before. Why would it truly be that important if your aim is to invest into the next generation? People act as though our old consoles are going to explode as soon as the new ones launch. I've learned that games can only get cheaper with time and to only focus on what I aim to finish. I can only play one game at a time, so wishlist what I'm interested in, wait for it to go on sale, and play it after I'm finished with what I'm currently playing. It's a shame it took me to own 10k+ games to learn this. It is cool to be able to share them all with my kids though, as long as someone is enjoying them.
That'd be cool if most of their "exclusives" didn't appear on their last console as well. How do you charge full price for games you know people have already purchased. It's not their fault your last console failed, stop taking advantage of your customer's blind loyalty.
Even with that whole list taken into account, the Switch will still be behind generations. I've never seen so many people get so excited to play games that have been out for YEARS, as though they didn't have the option to play them previously.

This is the perfect place to communicate that, some people will continue to enjoy resolution over graphical fidelity. The Xbox 1X, and all it's "power", does nothing more than allow for higher resolution, so even having one it remains to sit because of the fact that Sony has too many stellar games to ignore for better resolution.

All these comment section experts are getting out of hand, as though they're in the same position as those active in the progression of the industry. Which is interrupting what? I have game pass and I still spend FAR more on PS4 and Nintendo games, and I'm not alone in this practice. A disruption would cause the pause or stoppage of other buying methods, which game pass is NOT doing. Have you seen the sells numbers for digital sales of PS4 and Nintendo titles?
