Inclusion should also include the element of genuine effort to be included. These mediums are forcing inclusion in sectors where there has been no previous interest shown. Why include in history what hasn't earned the right to be there?

I can see if there was some widespread outcry for inclusion in video games throughout history, but all of this seems very opportunistic and conveniently placed.🤷🏾‍♂️

Hey Teddy, if that's even your real name....😐

I, in fact, do only watch original programing on my streaming services. Here's a breakdown😁:

Netflix:
Atypical and Peaky Blinders
Epix:
Godfather of Harlem
Showtime:
Billions
Hbo:

Paramount:
Yellowstone

Outside of these things, I pur...

@ Hermit

For a person that has dedicated his life to being more than just a couch dweller with a controller, I've invested enough to speak openly.

Hey buddy, I own ALL the systems and have since I was 4 years old. Became a senior director for a leading game retailer, opened my own chain of game stores across multiple cities, gained over 88k customers, highly decorated in my community, currently thriving in spite of Covid....what's your resume look...

This is only an argument for people who don't buy games regularly. Sony is leading for a reason so all the GP dribble should cease. No matter how many times it's mentioned people are choosing to go with Sony and Nintendo, on a GRAND scale. So....

So you see why they made the S, huh? Well even with the X, S, GP, and quick resume they're still losing market share 2 to 1. This number will continue to increase due to MS only able to offer you promises while Sony con...

Great point, sir. No many devs are putting their games on GP because MS is PAYING them to. GP was created because of the abysmal games sales that MS was experiencing.

They approach devs offering them money, upfront, to place their games on GP. Who wouldn't take free money from a desperate company? Win for them and MS gets to look like they're doing it for the benefit of the customer. In reality it is evidence in their lack of faith in their community. Believe what ...

No Sony has a thriving community of gamers that are willing to pay for their games. Why do you think they have such world renowned games?

We always hear about how deep MS pockets are as though the people talking are connected business wise. No good company is in the business to lose money. GP is a show of desperation for any person who actually KNOWS business. Sony nor Nintendo need anything of the sort, they BOTH have such a healthy and proven track record that they could...

Bitter? To what end? The game industry is not a perfect one, but not one industry is, so if I wait for perfection I'd support nothing.

Pretentious? Who's pretending? For what?

Gamers like me? What type of gamer am I, sir?🤣🤣 I just prefer to pay, what's the issue?

If you can't afford a vacation, you just don't go, how is gaming any different?

I don't take part in anything that does not allow me ownership of my product. I've got well over 10k and I'm more than happy to purchase them all. I work hard to afford what I want so services like GP don't appeal to me. I own damn near every game they offer so why bother?

When a company has a great track record of delivering quality product there's faith in purchasing what they offer. What more proof is needed of the lack of faith that MS has in their ...

What developer wouldn't take money up front instead of risking falling short depending on gamers who don't want to support their efforts?

1722d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Why don't you actually pay for the game so the DEVELOPERS can benefit from it too? I've never seen so many selfish gamers in my life. If I couldn't afford to pay, I'd just stop playing to focus on being able to....

And how does that help anyone BUT you? You can play the same games if you actually buy them. Though I understand everyone can't afford to shell out thousands a year on gaming, I also support the idea that life comes with sacrifices. If you can't afford to actually pay to improve the industry, that's evidence enough to hang the controller up until you can. Celebrating being cheap is not something that people should be proud of, if it hurts the industry.🤷🏾‍♂️

I don't see why people don't see what the reality of GP really is. It is the evidence that the Xbox community is unwilling to buy their games. When you start paying attention to a the 2nd and 3rd party profit reports, you'll begin to notice the pattern that even the Switch outperforms the Xbox in selling games.

To each their own, but saying you love gaming so much that you'd prefer to force your preference to have to pay for a game upfront to temporarily al...

Anything not to do your part in supporting the industry, huh? Not a supporter of GP, as I prefer to buy my games like an adult. This is an example of exactly why MS can't actually sell games and has to buy them to GIVE them away. Perhaps if you'd actually think about what goes into a game, as a whole, you'd be willing to think about something besides your own pocket.

No wonder all the best content happens to elude the Xbox while Sony and Nintendo continue to fl...

Uuum, lol, I am more than sure that you lost nothing in the hack, just another over entitled gamer looking to cash in on a situation. I've got well over 3k games and I was hacked too, but I lost nothing. Several companies have been hacked and have given their supporters NOTHING. Facebook, Samsung, Microsoft, Amazon, etc have all been hacked. Just something that happens from time to time, get over it. 2011 was so long ago. Petty much?🤣🤣

Have all systems but I've found that the Xbox relies heavily on features over games. Nothing they CLAIM about the X is proven, just hear about GP(😴), and promises of what the companies they've purchased will deliver. Hell Bethesda hasn't made anything bigger than Skyrim and that was 2011. Those purchases seems more of a strategy at attempting to affect Sony and mask the fact that they've got nothing in-house to show. After Crack Down, Halo, and that pirate game's s...

Exactly my point. Gaming is a luxury not a necessity so griping about the price of something you don't need is asinine. If it's a problem, save your money and be responsible.

Might I ask, what's the point? I really don't see the argument behind the 10 difference between this and last gen. The same thing took place between the last gen and the previous one. I do understand that there are a lot of people struggling but why even bother buying games? Isn't there more important things to do with your money?

So GP= 20 million x 15 = 300,000,000

Horizon = 15 million × 60 = 900,000,000
Spiderman = 20 million x 60 = 1,200,000,000
God of War = 20 million x 60 = 1,200,000,000

Doing the math, the 3 games above potentially generated up to 3.3 billion dollars which is 11 times more than a year of GP revenue. Now, just add in console, subscription, etc and you'll get a better picture of the scale if things.
