No matter what Metacritic says it is only a consensus of what others "think" about a game. I purchased all of them, all but Elden Ring/B4B did i thoroughly enjoy. After hundreds of hours in Nioh, Wo Long stands out enough from it to earn its own merit in the industry. There is nothing that would lead me to say any of these are bad I don't care what critics say.
Not only Atomic, but Wo Long, Collisto, etc? They were all new IPs so what are they succeeding?

I just played for a couple of hours and can honestly say that the jumps are pretty predictable. Though the game is fun it's not provoking any of the "terror" that I'm hearing so much about. All of the reaction videos that I've seen seem pretty artificial and corny, to say the least.

Wow...where should I begin? Ninja Gaiden, Sekiro, Bloodborne, Devils May Cry, GoT, GoW, Wo Long, Nioh, this is only just a few. You must have a very limited range of play if you believe that there's anything remotely progressive found in Elden's combat system. I do tend to neglect that many regard Elden as some groundbreaking masterpiece. After 40 years of gaming with over 10k games played, I do not share the same sentiment. Very basic overall.

I'll never get it because I've got the X with no viable reason to use it. GP has absolutely no appeal to a person like myself. Wholeheartedly agree with you. I loved Collisto Proticol not only was it gorgeous but the protagonist was believable. The combat was what you'd expect of a cargo shipper turned space marine. I never understood what the fuss was about. It seems people only downed it because it wasn't Dead Space.
