This device needs third party support, and lots of it. But it all starts with Sony themselves, they simply need to to pahse the psp out and force 3rd parties to make their psp projects into vita projects. Regardless of how long it may take them to get it done.

had a ps3 since day one, and til this day didnt think much about plus really. But something like this could seriously push me to sign up.

People often mention the ps2 as being the first and cheapest to launch as the result of its still ongoing success. The problem with that is they forget sega's last home console being there before and cheaper.

well, what really sets consoles apart from even pc or streaming services is, exclusives and with that said exclusive gameplay mechanics which are incorporated with in the box accessory.
like wiiu is something i find a bit difficult to emulate, since Nintendo tends to make their consoles different and their games cater those differences in gameplay that simply just cant be dumb down for services like onlive. it just wouldnt be the same really.

I know japan is a workforce like no other, but its slowly becoming apperant that there are some companies that overwork their employees more than others. Not only that, they dont treat their employees right.

That's not entirely true though i can understand where you coming from.
The truth is the ps2 was more powerful and cost more than the Sega dreamcast which by the way launched a whole with year before the ps2. And despite the fact it took the ps2 to get some games, it still manage to come out on top.
Also the psp did outsell the DS in its inception, however piracy became rampant and Sony themselves mismanage psp's support due to ps3s inpending arrival....
It certainly does not affect me in the slightest.
I mean i look at the line up of games each of these companies release exclusively speaking, and then i realize that, by the time i am done with a few exclusives the DLc arrives. And by this time i normally don't even care anymore, but the option becomes available no less.

well ironically the 360 even with that time, seems dead in japan. You see i think it all has to do with price and games. Since then the prices have come down and the games have been arriving. The gap was what 10million? Now its not even half of that anymore.
Another thing to consider is how many platforms each company is pushing. MS dumped a whole userbase and is now only supporting one platform, Sony on the other hand is still pushing the ps2 and the psp along with the vita ...
Thats fine, but in germany there is currently a ban going on to stop the sale of the 360,europe sees the ps3 leading usually and when its not is neck and neck. And in Japan, the 360 is pretty much irrelevant. So...i still find this hard to believe.
