also by the time DD does become a force like that, im pretty sure blu ray by than will be as cheap if not cheaper than current dvds, and with the superior quality blu ray currently offers and i mean uncompressed imagery and sound, trade-able, sell a ble quality, i highly doubt DD will have a major effect on blu ray's existen...

but even at that the ps3 had only one big exclusive and which doesn't sell halo or GTA numbers either, despite this ps3 still has been outselling the 360.
i mean the 360 has been selling the numbers the wii is selling now about a year ago. now those numbers have declined, and demand hasn't been as high as in previous times.

insult to injury but even though im no analyst and i can tell you, i can see the ps3 gaining more steam as we head into the fall classic.

my question is, will this game support voice chat? home? and trophies? i sure hope so.
i mean bioshock its set to support both "home" and "trophies", now all sony really needs to do is inject the ps3 with some Voice communication features such as (cross chat/in-game chat/private chat) and (voice/video mail system) as well.
than simple make this a full game like its previous incarnation with the whole story, co-op modes and now online modes as well...

the only reason why these systems are even good to these companies is because they help generate attach rates in terms of sales of games and systems that is.

dude both syphon filter and twisted metal are coming to the ps3 in 09 this was stated in one of the psm magazines.
the game, the syphon filter game is suppose to be a sequel to logan's shadow, everything from its campaign modes to its online match making system are all set to make their ps3 debut in the latter part of 09.

look what you fail to realize here is, that although the 360 has 6 million or 5 million units ahead the ps3, doesn't mean the ps3 doesn't have any games, or the 360 is the better console period.

Firmware 2.40 brings the PS3 closer to a fully-fledged system, but there are still problems with the system software and features that are missing....
i like what they are trying to do here, but for now all i want is for them to work on and deliver whats most needed.
now im not saying psn sucks or xbox live is 100 times better, but xbox live will keep being better in my personal opinion until sony gets their act together and start working on the more important things.

look both gears and resistance 2 will move systems this fall thats for sure, i don't know how some of you can sit here and say that either of those games didn't succeed.
the first gears of wars game did move lots of 360's and may i say at the time consoles were more expensive.
same for resistance to this date resistance remains one of the best selling ps3 titles and its nothing more than a launch title.

Interesting point but short of Shenmue, most of Sega's title lineup are Midway quality at best.
look at this point in time one could say sega has had midway quality titles, but that's based on current reviews of recent releases, even sony and ms has had their share of bad releases thus far.
shenmue is a good title, but while the game was recognize for its potential it sold less than some of segas other properties.
