No but they would have done even better if they had been multiplat for games like gears. This is of course assuming that MS didnt pay them to stay exclusive but thats not the issue at hand. If we are just talking about software sales then they are of course "nuts" as the more people you have to sell to the better off you are. Its pretty simple economics.

Hes talking from a financial persepective and hes right. Why not double your market and sell even more games. There isnt a single insomniac game that couldnt be done on a 360 right now.

Well it had a decent opening. I dont expect it to hit the levels of previous FF games though. I just dont see it as having the same staying power as the word of mouth is very negative.
I read the article and its got a few assumptions in it that could be totally wrong. I dont see that the two packs really over lap except the level 50 stuff which is a good thing as it keeps all players on a fairly even playing field.

Well muliplats are not really a good example as the UE3 really runs best on the 360 and the ps3 is just an after thought but its much more accomodating now than it was before.
But i do agree that it has its place in the market. You should add Borderlands to your list as well as it was made on teh UE3. The new transfomers game is as well and it looks rather nice too.

lol sales dont make a game AAA, its quality of the game that does.
It doesnt matter how much was poored into making it, it doesnt matter how much it was hyped or how many it sold. ALl the matters is the quality of the game itself. You can have AAA PSN and XBLA games people.

They will never catch Nintendo I agree, however there is only a 4 million unit difference now and they are closing it every month. As for losing money they dont lose money on teh PS3 anymore which is good for them.
