RE1 is still the most revolutionary RE a true game changer during the 3D revolution of console gaming.
RE4 change of gameplay is both blessing and curse as it made RE series more bombastic action than true survival horror.
The shooting mechanics of RE4 is very close to Shadow of the Colossus which was developed and released at the same time frame. I am doing an investigation why Mikami san changed the original gameplay of RE4 to over the shoulder like in SotC.
