PlayStation has been 3rd party first and 1st party second. That is how it started with PSOne and that is how it stayed successful up to PS4. 1st party exclusives are just there to show the potential power of the hardware.

I predicted that Japanese 3rd party resurgence in the west for PayStation 4 will be phenomenal. Nioh, NieR Automata, Persona 5, Yakuza, all wowed the western gamers in a bib big way. RESPECT was restored and Greatness Arrived magnificently.
In 2018 it will continue but with the big western kahunas like Spiderman God of War Days Gone Dreams RDR2 potentially doubling the steam rolling record set by PS4 in 2017.

Dude, if RL didn't launch as a PS Plus game millions of PS4 players including my self wouldn't have tried it and purchased it at full price. We were playing PC gamers since day one.
