The gaming industry is just delivering on what the current trend is.
Currently it's CoD so everything is CoDlike
Once everyone wanted to be Guitar Hero, before that it was "sand box" once GTA 3 hit it big then there was Hulk Ultimate Destruction and Spiderman 2 movie based games.
Once people stop buying FPS the industry will move on.

If you don't think Sony and MS will get their new console out before the holiday season whether they are ready or not you are crazy.
Hell 360 launched without HD because of that reason.
Hell PS3 launched with only on game of any significance Resistance the rest were sports games and forgettable games
I like how some people are saying it's cause the game is on the Wii (some are even blaming Wii U) man you guys really do like crapping on Nintendo.
It's Square Enix's fault the released a game last year on the Wii then announced a few months later that the game will also be on Wii U and look much better. A smart consumer would just wait for the Wii U version.

Right now people care more about CoD so everyone tries to make the games similar to that RE, MoH, ect all tried to take a page from CoD.
Nintendo doesn't care what the popular trend is they just make games they think their fans will like.

I have never seen so many doom articles within the first three months(no not even the Vita).
The Wii U gets stories on how much it is selling in the UK (which is has the same population as the top two US states)even though Nintendo has never been strong in the EU, so it shouldn't have been a surprise.

Do you really think if this game flops on Wii U, like the first on did on the PS360 (enough so that Sega didn't even want to make 2), anyone else is going to jump at the chance to publish a game that already would be a proved failure twice?
In fact you should hope for major success. Because then someone else would want a piece of the pie and the Sega would look for a loop hole.

a 124 year old company like Nintendo won't go out anytime soon.
The reason Sega and Atari went out is because they made back to back mistakes and bleed money.
For the Wii U to fail it would not only have to have poor third party support but Nintendo's main franchise games would have to flop and the handhelds would have to flop.
I like Nintendo too, but will anyone admit they are totally bumbling around right now?
