@below: I understand but please...PS2 piracy was rampant and almost didnt hurt Sony at all. What makes them think this time around it will kill them. Look at the 360 software sales...its almost hard to believe that console is pirated as hell.

Oh come on dude, it took MS just one month to sell what the PS3 sells in almost 2 years in Japan. Dont think Japan is helping to shrink the gap whatsoever.

I think Sony made a mistake by counting on GT5 as a "festive season" blockbuster. Its not big enough in the USA to support the the PS3 brand through the festive season. It gave MS a highway for the 360.
Next time they should do a combo like GT5 + LBP for instance. Not just a racer alone. Thats like asking to be stomped in the Xmas season which is the most important season of the year.
Yeah Sony need to step their game up in the US.
MS has sold 1.5 million 360's in Japan approximately out of 50 million...I mean even without Japan MS would STILL be ahead of Sony.
Just shows how important the USA market is.

Alan Wake, Reach, Fable 3, Splinter Cell Conviction, Crackdowb 2 (ok it sucked) and Mass Effect 2 in January before people knew it was going multi.

Fable 3 and Reach both came out at the end of the year.
Thats 2 exclusives compared to one (GT5) for Sony and I cant think of any for the Wii.
Good stream of solid games (Reach, Fable, Black Ops, Assassins Creed) + new design + Kinect = 360 on fire.
MS played their cards rights this season.
Theres nothing wrong with it as long as it doesnt hamper the game itself. Just saying that I believe the decision was from Sony and not GG.

Yeah I was expecting worse...I dont mind the linearity and I find the combat system to be entertaining. But I play FF's for the story and for the moment thats where it seriously falls short.
Hmm so should just give it a second chance...oh well I'll take your advice and see if its worth it. If 25h in it still sucks I'm gonna give it up. Will be the first FF I play and dont finish.
I am busy playing FF13 right now. I'm at the end of chapter 7 and 14 hours in, I have put it aside for the moment and havent decided yet if I'll play it again.
The main reason being the horribly boring story. I've been waiting 14 hours for it to pick up.
Those who have already finished it, does the story get better ? I mean I'm kind of half way through and the story still sucks...

Dunno if it was mediocre...but it felt dull to me.
I've been watching a lot of KZ3 vids and still cant get excited for this. I need something special in a FPS for me to get excited.
Looking forward to Deus Ex 3 more than this.
