They were waiting to start productio first before announcing a date. Production started yesterday.
Yeah seems like November 22nd was the target date since a long time already.
Also they started production officially yesterday or a couple of days before which makes roughly 80 days before launch, just like the 360.
They pretty much had their own agenda all along and werent waiting or watching for when Sony was going to launch.
Edge were Sony fanboys best friends after that "PS4 is your next console" BS article.

26 million people bought the original Kinect for a whopping 150$ and it wasnt even close to what Kinect 2.0 is.

Well MS think that they see the potential that you dont. Give them a year and if it doesnt add anything to the Xbox One experience then yes you can call it useless.
I for one dont mind it at all, on the contrary looks pretty slick to me.
There is no doubt whatsoever that it will ovecome its "perception problem".
Just the fact that everybody that owns a Xbox One will also have Kinect makes it already a mass product to become.
On top of that Kinect 2.0 is hand down more promising and advanced than the first Kinect so people will enjoy the functions it adds.
A gimmick is omething like the PS Move ---> dropped like a dead horse as soon as Sony could. Nobody wanted it...
I think PS3 exclusives werent even close to being as epic as PS1/PS2 exclusives.
Maybe thats because PS2 and PS1 best exclusives were mostly third party. Final Fantasy, MGS, Grand Theft Auto (was always at least timed if not completely) Tekken, Devil May Cry, JRPG's, Kingdom Hearts, Onimusha etc etc.
Playstation first party games just dont match those level of epicness. Naughty Dog and Santa Monica are the only ones that can match those games.

Great analogy. I actually dont mind their overhyping because once this gen kicks off they will be having smack after smack in the face when they see that the gap is as big as this gen: almost non existant.
I mean remember when the PS3 launched ? All that "power of the cell" crap talk was off the wall. It was hyped like no tomorrow. At the end of the day, after 7 years you have 2 or 3 exclusives that stand out compared to 360 exclusives.
