Actually it was only a blow when it was first announced.
By the next day I was done with it. I'm still getting to play the game, so it really isn't a big deal.
There's also a huge load of other great 100% exclusive titles coming to the PS3 so it really isn't that serious.
Square's event is within a few weeks and TGS is only 3mths away, more will be revealed then.
Hopefully there'll be some great surprises. :)

More and more I start realizing I'll have to switch my RPG expectations from the eastern side to the western side.

Everytime I see that screenshot they have of the the new "Live Experience" I can't help but switch the 'u' and the 'a' from the avatar named "LuckLaster" cuz it sums up Microsoft's press conference for me perfectly.

The 360 version will have to be compressed to facilitate the limited capacity of the DVD medium, PS3's data is fine because of Blu-Ray technology.

From the way they sounded I think the game's practically done.
He said they've just been fine tuning everything. With 6mths left to fine tune, Killzone 2 will be extremely polished.
Which means there's definitely a lot of DLC coming our way.
As long as this game sells me a totally certified, unique, gameplay experience anything they put out for sale will be getting my money.

Also to add to what n4gzz said. People seem to forget GTAIV sold more copies per system on the PS3 than the 360.
By the time FFXIII rolls out, that space between the two consoles won't be as wide, so you do the math.
