The 360 is actally doing well in most areas other than in Japan (i might be wrong), but back where i come from, consoles that sell in huge numbers do so because they can be easily pirated. Last gen ps2 did great in my region because it was so easy to mod it to pay pirated games on it. This gen 360 takes that award. Yes you would be spending 10-20% more for the console, but you could get the tames for 1/10th of the price. The media format being DVD does help the pirating cause too. DVD being ...
Sony is still the Big dog, agreed, but only because of the last 2 generations. This generation they have not been doing nearly as well as the past 2 gens.
I have to disagree on your statement about 360 exclusives. I am not a big fan of shooters, so I couldnt care less about Halo or Gears, but Splinters Cell come on... its one HUGE reason to own the 360. (Only a couple of exclusives were used here as what I stated was examples)
its extremely biased. the article only shows desperation... the "it" console this generation is the Wii - 50 mil units sold... simple. Agreed 360 games might spend more time on their consoles than the Wii, but really who cares Wii sports is the best selling game ever !
yea you can claim the 360 is for hardcore gamers, but with Natal (and the wand wrt Sony) isnt the hardcore game console manufacturer(s) going casual?
AOE2, GOW1, Warcraft 3, Halflife all great picks. I still remember seeing the Warcarft video for the first time and drooling over it :)
Some other games that should get atleast a nod - MSG2, MSG3, MSG4, Prince of Persia Sands of Time, Final Fantasy X, Assassins Creed etc...
The only reason i don't go crazy buying every good game thats out its simply because MOST ppl don't have job security right now. I would rather make sure i can survive than buy games.
+ I got to save up for Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5. Now if the question is will I get it for sure, I do not know. Its the situation at time that will determine it.

I got my PC & PS3 connected to 42" LCD HDTV, 7.1 Surround sound system, wireless keyboard and mouse. I live in my own house, got my own gaming room and I play along side my wife and son.
