The lower resolution the better framerate. PC 101.
Games struggle to keep 30 fps when they run at 720 and 1080p. But when you reduce resolution, it will easily achieve that fps
why do they have to deny it? It gave them good publicity that they were giving more for the developers to use. I fail to see how denying everything helps their cause !

"perceived value" is what is killing the gaming industry today and the gamers are to blame. If corporates are greedy its because they know they can charge anything and get away with it ...

Somehow Sony seems to get away with these price hikes but MS gets the short end of the stick !
FF7 (a great game but) $10? MSG (another great game) but $10?
when Sony themselves said that they would keep the PS1 at $5.99 (and i could get both these games for a combined $8 + $2.99 shipping)

I am not sure how AC 2 is going to do... The game didn't have (IMO) much competition in 2007 + it was a new IP and it looked great...
now we have games which look about the same or better and not that repetitive as AC. Sure they were going to make it exciting by adding more interesting subgames, but thinking back to AC1 I do not see how they can eliminate the repetitive gameplay.
I for one am going to wait for reviews before any purchase/rent decision.

Highly doubt it will be a PS3 exclusive. It might be a Wii game... everybody seems to be thinking 360 and PS3 only... Wii has a 50 mil install base !
1st reason - Activisons business model
2nd reason - Price
Activision fails to surprise me any more. They have NO backbone. In this economy when games are the cheapest source of relief (so to speak) - In comes Activision to screw the living daylights of the gamer !
