GT5 in 1080p is a very well conceived misleading lie by sony and the developers.
Full HD or 1080p is defined as 1920x1080pixel resolution, while gt5 will render at 1280x1080 which while having 1080 horizontal lines is very very far from the touted 1080p hd.
I also agree with the comments that I would much rather have less cars and more tracks.

How are the two consoles that have 4+ year old hardware future proof?
Neither the PS3 or the 360 can render 3D games with the detail like Forza 3 or GT5, UC2 in HD, all those games are sub HD and then upscaled to 720p or 1080p. How is that for processing power? a PC with 6 year old hardware can render those games the same.
The only true HD gaming is on PC where games can be rendered at 1080p and higher. It will be next gen on consoles before we will see true HD ...

$60 is cheap for games, they cost less now then ever. Some SNES games cost like $80 when released and people still bught them in droves, thou around 25 of that 80 was simply to pay the cost of at the time huge 8 megabit(1MB) storage on those cartriges.
Though cost of development nowdays eats a huge chunk out of developer profits, heck, atari 2600 games sold for 17-25 each and developers probably made more per game sold back then then they do now with their development time being l...
Just because the game is for a portable system doesn't give the developers the right to dumb it down like they did.
One of the biggest reasons to play racing games of this type is for the career/upgrade paths. Its what makes you want to play it. It IS what made the previous games great, prior to gt, racing games were all bleh niche market deals.
There is no excuse for rushing this out and not making the game what it should have been.

100% of at least a 250gig 360 HD. HEck they could go bigger with 500 gigs but its MS and those drives will be expensive, but i think the new elite will not be more then 300 in the US.
They need a larger HD and more affordable one at that after introducing games on demand, and they also lifted size limits on arcade games that will definately require more storage, Shadow Complex is a 830 meg DL and after it installs it takes 1.6gigs.

Typical sales spike after price drop, it will even out in a month or so. Plenty of 360 gamers are getting one now that its more affordable.
On the other note not many 360 are sold to RROD customers, I got a launch 360 that RRODed twice but still got repaired for free, never had to buy another one. As long as MS is fixing them ppl wont be buying replacements, dont make sense.
Played to level 60 way back and never looked back after quitting. Its an awful time sink (game is great). And the carrot on the stick effect all mmos have is old, really old... get gear so you can get better gear so that gear will allow you to get better gear... so that your guild will accept you have good enough gear to go to the uber epic awesomeness dungeon to get the best gear... then an expansion or more content comes and .. you get to do it all over again ;p
