Because this is completely about justice and morality and not power, I look forward to when similar economic sanctions are placed on America the next time they invade another sovereign nation or when they bomb the fucking shit out of a middle east or African country that they have been doing for *check notes* at least once a day every single day for the last 20 years.
Iraq, Libya, Yemen, those damn Russians...Wait a minute... That was America? I was assured they hated Hitler and Nazis? Wait a minute... They're funding the Azov Battalion that are quite literally Neo-Nazis? Sir, you ASSURED me that they were better than Hitler!
Would be difficult. Nintendo are no longer competitors for Sony and Microsoft, they've carved out their own niche which belongs exclusively to them. It started with the Wii and consolidated it with the Switch. So with that in mind, the pressure to be as powerful as the current Playstation or Xbox is absent. But where it becomes difficult if they chose to do it is that its a portable console, not a home console. To be as powerful as PS5 or Xbox Series X would mean it would have to be the s...
Possibly another 10 million on consoles as well then. My friends who have never played Soulsborne games picked it up and are loving it, this is the From Software game that finally goes mainstream. It looks like its doing Skyrim numbers. I remember that a couple years after Skyrims release they had sold around 20 million copies, and its picking up the pace on those numbers so quick! Just how big will this game get?
The path of "88 seems quite low" is a dark path that no jedi should ever travel. It leads to disappointment, which leads to sadness, which leads to boredom.
That's a really great score dude, don't let your expectations get so high otherwise you're going to limit your enjoyment of games down to a very narrow swath of them.
These kinds of people need to be completely purged from gaming media, game development and gaming in general. They shit up the medium and my tolerance for them is diminishing by the minute.
I know Pachter is something of a punching bag, but I agree. Close to 4 Billion just so they'll keep all their games multiplatform? Sony, if you haven't noticed, the guy you're competing with, Microsoft, isn't playing the game for fun, he's playing for keeps on everything, he wants a monopoly and he wants you kicked out of your house on the street. He took your iconic franchise (Crash Bandicoot), made it exclusive on their system, and rubbed their balls on your face, and yo...
Playstation will win this Gen, but Xbox isn't going to be too far behind. The sales per month for Xbox have been gradually picking up steam and down her in Oz, it was just as impossible to by a Series X as it was to buy a PS5 over the last few months.
Competition every gen is good for the consumer but I just can't see it taking the top spot from Sony this time, they had the momentum for too long and its very hard to change the course of a ship like that, unless theres a disas...
"Had good calls this week with leaders at Sony. I confirmed our intent to honor all existing agreements upon acquisition of Activision Blizzard and our desire to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation. Sony is an important part of our industry, and we value our relationship."
- Phil Spencer on Twitter.
This restores a lot of respect for me with Phil and calms some of my nerves with the possibility of Microsoft trying to develop a monopoly with gaming. Hopefully...
The biggest metric for Days Gone, what I remember them saying not long after it came out, was that it didn't meet the Metacritic score that Sony wanted. I really don't like that the life or death of franchises rest on the whims and reviews of people living exclusively in San Francisco. They have a vision of what gaming should look like, only half of gamers like that vision, and they're ruthless in making sure that vision comes true.
Sony is a Japanese company, it thrived ...
Better workplace? Bill Gates was best friends with Jeffrey Epstein right up until he died. His second home was that creepy rape island. What kind of culture do you think they're going to promote as they get more and more powerful dude?
