You're full of crap. It's has nothing to do with resisting change. Gamers can tell when new tech is useless and just a gimmick. They did it with the powerglove, superscope, VirtualBoy, etc. Get off your high horse.
Kinect is pointless when the system comes with a controller. Why not use it instead of forcing these lousy motion controls on us? The technology of kinect is interesting, just not for gaming.

Forza only has 3 releases this gen. Forza 2, Forza 3, and the yet to be released Forza 4.
