It will. The only thing carrying the next-gen consoles right now are established franchises. Even "new" IPs like Titanfall and Watchdogs are essentially spin-offs from tired formulas. CoD with mechs and jetpacks, AC+ GTA = Watch Dogs...then we'll get sequels of these IPs and it'll go on forever.
Even now everyone's waiting for Uncharted 4 or GoW4 (both sequels) to put life into the PS4, as it currently has none. They'll be spectacular, no doubt, but ...
P4G did great here as well and I hope God Eater 2 comes out here one day. Also excited for the Gravity Rush sequel.
In case no one's noticed, the Vita has its system sellers now. Tearaway and this.
It was never coming to PS3 and 360 and development began for the PC/PS4/X1 only. Misinformed title..
Awesome, loved the anime.
Awesome, I hope this gets a Europe release too even if it's a digital one.
Defection? At least have the title make sense.
+1 for space love. That's where gaming belongs.
When this was announced I just knew they wouldn't pull off a hat trick. Not without some serious upgrades and redesigns to keep it fresh. Seems like many devs are shoehorning prequels before the generation ends, like God of War Ascension etc. It never turns out well.
I'm playing through Arkham City on PC right now, and I'll grab this when it's on a Steam sale.
The 780 and 290X are both mindblowingly fast, everyone should be happy AMD launched a cheaper card and that Nvidia had to follow suit.
I don't think we'll see Maxwell until later thanks to the 780Ti.
Yeah I'm not sure what he meant. Publishers would be looking at this in fear and hoping other developers don't follow suit.
These guys have proved that all you need to do is give players what they want, gain their trust and the money will roll in. With the popularity of digital thanks to F2P games, you don't need games on store shelves.
Please let the English voice acting be good. Please let the English voice acting be good. Please let the English voice acting be good.
This is going to be the biggest space game ever and one of the biggest period. And no one is noticing.
I have my Freelancer ship waiting in the hangar.
I'm interested to know if they fixed the horribly low resolution cutscenes on PC. I think it was one of the only flaws that bugged me with the game, it was too jarring.
Interested to see how the 780Ti performs, and costs. AMD has a killer card here.
7 out of 10? Wow, I'm meeting the wrong people clearly.
Nintendo now have plenty of games I'd love to play, but by now I'm so invested in other platforms that I simply can't afford to buy their stuff and maintain another platform library. Maybe if I had more income.
This is actually pretty huge. Wow.
What can I do to get myself excited for launch titles? Because none are really hitting the notes for me at the moment.
I disagree a bit with the pie chart separating graphics, story and gameplay. Too many developers INSIST on wanting to be movie directors instead of VIDEOGAME creators. Hence why we now have to sit through cutscene after cutscene after cutscene and then have the game hold our hand half of the time.
Gameplay is shrinking in favour of BOMBASTIC, EMOTIONAL, HEART-WRENCHING storytelling. With fantastic exceptions like Dark Souls. We do not need a movie budget with movie voice acto...
