Definitely, the more the better, but they will come its early days yet. Contrary to what many people seem to believe it's not splitting the fan base at all, any PS4 Pro enhanced game will still play just as it ever would on the base PS4. The very definition of not splitting the fan base. Somewhat like arguing that some games which are optimised for Nvidia but not Ati split the fan base, no, still works on both just one gets a bit better performance.

But there's alw...

Of course they will, it's the nature of the beast. Websites will spout any old badly written trash for clicks.
I do hope the Scorpio lives up to the hype though. I've just shelled out for a 4K OLED to go with my PS4 Pro (which I'm impatiently waiting on being delivered) so if Scorpio lives up to the hype I'll definitely be picking one up. I sold my xbone because it never got used but I'm getting itchy trigger fingers wanting GOW 4 now, but I can wait for Scorpio,...

As a multi-format gamer I can remain pretty impartial. I care not who makes a system or what they did to it, all I really care about are the games. And I have to say it's true, Microsoft actually revealed nothing bar a name and a target performance metric. There's so far nothing for me to get excited about with Scorpio because there's no games for them to show off, until that happens I'll just file it under the, looking forward to this one category.

As for...

Really? Of course we've all got our own likes and dislikes. But I'd be overjoyed if they kept a screen on the controller. It's one of my favourite things about the Wii U, my wife can watch whatever crud she's watching on tv and I can still play my Wii U without resorting to disconnecting everything and taking it to another room.
Guess you can never please everyone though, no matter what the big N does people will complain about it, they have been for decades :D

Considering no one actually knows anything concrete about the system. Or at least, those who do aren't talking about it. There's an awful lot of jumping the gun going on with anything related to the NX.

I'm happy to wait and see what they actually have planned. But I will say this, just because it *could* have a 720p screen on the handheld side of things. That actually speaks to nothing regarding the systems actual power.

What it does sugges...

You'll get disagrees, just as I will, from people who can't understand that there's a line between homebrew and piracy. They're two different things entirely, it's just unfortunate that the one often leads to the other.

I despise piracy, but love the homebrew and fan made game scene, there's a lot of talent out there. Long may that side of it continue.

I'm in the same boat. This is the first time my Vita has been switched on for, well, so long I can't remember.
I've spent tens of thousands of pounds on hardware and software over the years and will continue to do so.
I don't condone piracy, never have, never will.

I know exactly the damage piracy causes. As an indie developer myself it's disheartening to see hundreds of thousands of people playing your game when you've actually ...

Absolutely, I see no reason [no good reason] why they shouldn't.

For me, I really only care about the gameplay. I like pretty pictures when they're an option sure, but I don't particularly care what style they take.

I've been gaming for 40 years, when I was a kid all there was, was gameplay, pretty pictures weren't an option for a lot of years :D

Let Nintendo flex their creative muscle, for over 30 years the mostly...

There's nothing wrong with having a bit of variety to appeal to all kinds of gamers.

You're probably hearing a lot about it based on the quality of the first game. Honestly, when it released on Vita I dismissed it initially, but eventually decided to give it a go. Bloody hell im glad I did, despite my expectations, I thoroughly enjoyed it. One of the best games to grace the Vita and because of that I'm looking forward to its outing on PS4.

Pirate what exactly? The Vita owners (and I've been one since launch) have probably already bought pretty much the majority of what they ever will for the Vita.

I've not bought a game for it in ages, there's nothing worth spending my money on and certainly nothing I'd be interested in wasting memory card space on by pirating either. I've already purchased all I ever will for the Vita. Sony was content to let it die after we spent lots of money on it, so ...

No one has been "duped" by anything, the game isn't even available yet. There will be plenty of legitimate coverage before the retail release and after. If you want to base your purchasing decisions on the opinions of others, wait until then and decide.

Personally I could care less about the graphics, as a gamer of an *ahem certain age* I lost many, many happy hours to the original Elite game both when it was released on my Spectum and CPC 464 and that's a...

Wheresmymonkey, Not that it's particularly important either way, but the GameCube, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U are all based on IBMs Power Architecture.

Couldn't care less to be honest. If and that is a big if, Sony were to release an upgraded PS 4, the one I and everyone else has would still be supported.

If the new one was actually a good bit more powerful and not just some Blu-Ray update, I might even consider buying it.

But the one thing that has me wondering is, if these rumours weren't true, Sony would have shot them down in an instant. The speculation of a new system on the horizon can af...

It's so true, it's one of the the biggest draws to VR for me. I've been gaming for over 30 years and in that time, particularly since the transition from 2D to 3D, there's been many a time when I've thought it would be awesome to be "in" the game world.

Not just looking at it, controlling a person on a screen. But to be that person in an actual world that exists all around you. Imagine the sensation of creeping through some dark, spooky enviro...

Well, we humans are simple, yet contradictory, complex. The brain could definitely be tricked into perceiving an virtual object as something with actual physical substance.

The right combination of visual, auditory and physical input via various devices and we'll suck it up like a sponge to water.

Funny, I don't remember saying I didn't like it, just that I don't think Sonys handled it as well as they could.

Besides, it's part of my collection of 40ish consoles I've owned that dates back to a pong game from the 70's, I do hate an incomplete collection. Yes I'm that bloody old :D

Last I checked Sony owned more than 20 software development studios around the world dedicated to the PlayStation brand and not counting obviously, the development teams behind the software for their other products.

I think that pretty much qualifies them as a software company as well as a hardware one.

As a Vita owner from day one I'm woefully under impressed by Sonys handling of the Vita.
