then you've missed out on some pretty damn good games.
considering the game originally came out in 1996, graphics from 1997 would be pretty good for this particular game, no?
but hey, not everyone understands that gaming is about more than which console produces more anti-aliasing or which version has better shadows or some stupid crap like that. arguments ran wild when GTA4 came out such as 'the window texture on ps3 looks loads better' or 'the ps3's colors are a bit darker, so they're better'. like you say, real gamers should not care about such trivial aspects. one frame skip or bad texture won't break a game.
bubbles up for being able to give credit where credit is due. and you're right, framerate is important, though a couple of stutters won't break an rpg. a sometimes stuttering framerate didn't mar my opinion of mass effect, it was still one of the most entertaining games i've played in a while.
ps3? i got news... it's a PC only game...
edit: after looking at your user name i realize that explaining that was a moot point...
that the game is coming out on the ps3 also... wouldn't that make it a flop for the ps3 as well?
an indie version of Max Payne. seems the big boys at Fox Entertainment didn't want any competition, so they forced the cancellation of the indie movie via lawsuit or threat of lawsuit. I'm not exactly sure which one.
F*CK them family campaigners in the midlands. those studies are BS, as are almost all statistics. just twisted to the answer the people who put the most pressure on want to hear. if this study was true i would have taken out all of long island already, and half of manhattan!
is a great game in it's own merit, and i will not attack your opinion, since it is, after all, your personal opinion and you have all right to it regardless of mine. i'm just merely trying to be a neutral informative voice in this jungle we N4G-ers call the open zone. in the end it's a matter of preference, and what many people on this site can't understand is that not everyone has the same preferences. some like RTS's like AoE because it's faster paced and is more action oriented while ot...
may very well be the king of RTS's. Fortunately, Civilization isn't an RTS, it's a turn-based strategy game, and the king of turn-based strategy games. comparing age of empires to civilization is like comparing Halo to Gears of War, or Resistance to Uncharted, based on your console of preference. They're similar, but not similar enough to make a direct comparison.
whats this all aboot? America isn't the only place where stupidity reigns supreme, eh? you're not much better hurling insults at an entire NATION (nor am i, but i accept that). take a breath before the mounties get dispatched, eh.
I'm impressed. of course, the graphics aren't everything, though they play a bigger role in survivor horror games (lighting and such). if the gameplay works well EA may have a gem on their hands.
games like this (potentially), and skate along with some others show what EA is capable of, and it saddens me to see that they don't put this much effort into all their games. if they did, i would have a much higher opinion of them.
I'm off! (to check my bank account)
i don't like the addition of different instruments to GUITAR hero (couldn't they have added a keyboard?), the make-your-own-song feature sounds like it could be decent, but theres a big chance it could fail. i'll wait for more info before i make a decision about this one.
in fact, maybe they should just make a guitar hero game that let you play with a real guitar. then people would actually be learning something while having fun.
I'm getting it for ps3 also when i finally land one. sure, i just got it for 360, but thats mainly because i only own a 360 right now. but the big reason for me buying it for ps3 as well is that most of my friends are getting the ps3 just for this game, and i wanna cause wanton mayhem with them online.
either way, i'm still gonna get as much as i can out of the 360 version, and it will be nice to have the dlc as an option, though i do need more info before i commit myself to it...
am i to assume that since you're still posting this crap that you were unlucky enough to get a defected game? *sniffs* smell that? karma.
i forgot about the cards... i still have a bunch of them in my card book lying around somewhere. i remember how rare the holos were... ah the bragging i did when i was the only one of my little gaggle of friends with the almighty charizard... good times....
on an related note, remember the trading card game for gameboy?
i want them to stop making these new pokemon games for handhelds. i stopped playing them after silver and gold. they should have just made a decent pokemon RPG for the Wii. at least that would be different.
i would love to see the original 150 return for a nice cell-shaded romp through a open world pokemon rpg w/ no top down view, and decent looking battles. that would make me play pokemon again, but thats just me... i AM a bit of a wierdo...
final fantasy XIII, XIV, XV...
it's gonna happen, so it's kind of a moot point...
no KOTOR 3, no reason to care.
