mid to high settings depending on what fps are you targeting,I would say you'll get good frame-rate with mid settings while you'll probably get 30-45fps with high settings.

That's on you,if you want to keep upgrading while not having the spare cash for it,then you should just stick with what you have and keep saving for your next rig instalment.
Wouldn't worry about it,if anything,you would lose a couple of frame-rates which won't hinder your gameplay(I guess).

Exactly what I thought when I first saw the screen-shots,well said.
I have a gaming rig capable enough of playing project cars in 60fps with most settings on ultra(or high at least) & even then,I clearly see Drive Club being the "nicer" looking game here,nicer than project cars.
Yes,project cars will be 60fps with better textures and lightning etc etc,but all of this is subjective when you can't put it all together to shape up a good looking game.

How can you "barely" get 1440p on quite a few games when the 780 Ti supports 4k !?
I have that card and ALL of the games I play are in 1440p(samsung monitor 2560X1440p) and I play all of the games(except for the witcher 2) in Ultra settings with little frame drops for demanding games like FarCry3 & Batman: Arkham Origins for example(45-60).

If not,the character list as of now,is pretty weak tbh! sure they included all the major ones,but why would they leave out King Boo,Dry Bones or Diddy Kong!?

"looks better" = that's your opinion.
"faster" = no,reason why people are asking the devs to make the game a lil bit faster especially the wall running and the cable repelling(sliding or whatever it's called).
"generally more fun" = again,that's your opinion but it will probably have a lot more replay value due to it being a multiplayer game with a lot of customizations.

The game looks and feels tight,stop knocking it out and trolling the comment section of every article about the game stating the same thing over and over just because it's not coming to the PS4.

Fully agreed,got it for PC,played it for about 5+ hours and I enjoy it even with the crappy lip syncing.

some of the enemies(especially bosses) are well designed that even full AAA rpg titles don't come close to.
