The demos at the expo were, they said so at the top of the screen. They were essentially the demos you've heard about plastered over the net for months now.
Now I'm not going to say I'm uberly overwhelmed by the 3D...I still find it a bit a fad...but when people fly into you in Motorstorm with the first person view, I would literally try and move out the way. When I was looking around in Killzone admiring the icebergs and ravaging seas, I was in awe. I find it's more about the immersion it brings to the game because it does do just that. In terms of actual tech with regards to the TVs and glasses etc...yeah it's still got a while ...
There's a bit more crunch to the PC version but nothing that drastic, it's not as if its a massive flagship game. I remember when the comparisons between FIFA 2000 came up...had to buy a pc.
It's leamless to say but there is no game out there that is even going to compare to gran turismo....coming from the UK at least Sony knows they're onto a massive winner. So why bother with anything else? Apart from wetting my pants with awesome games Sony knows they'll make big bucks with this game. On the otherhand, Halo is definitely not as revolutionary as everyone hopes....simples...it's the way it is. It may sound slightly fanboy, but I promise you it's really not......
All these beta releases are very attractive propositions, and they're better then before as you definitely have access if you pay up...however...it will take more than beta access to move me to the paying side.
Great article! I love sniping, since the days of 'headshot' in Unreal Tournament. The slower more difficult controls definitely help in making less people choose sniper rifles.
It was very un-funny. The only part I liked was the blatant directness of "Playstation Move" but the rest was pure blaaaaaaa. Perhaps an American love?
I think Halo will outsell Black Ops...no matter the multi-console argument. To be honest I don't think people are anywhere near excited about another Call of Duty game, so soon after the last. Halo on the other hand with it's zillions of fans are so very dedicated to the Halo cause.

The game was totally overappreciated...the single player was simply boring, and the story was tat. Couldn't even be bothered to finish the campaign.
Multiplayer on the other hand, like all Halo games was very fun. But then I lean my purchases towards the core element of the game, in this case, the single player.
It's bloody annoying how so many developers just ditch co-op....I spent most time playing Resident Evil on offline co-op, yeah the little box screens were annoying but I still had a blast playing through it with an actual person next to me. To be honest, offline co-op is something everyone should be pushing because that's probably the main feature that drags in a new audience.

I just want to know, have they sorted out the menu system, not how stylish they are but how quick and easy they are to use. If there's one thing I hate about FIFA it's the frickin team management, it's such a ball ache subbing players on and off. Could they please rip a page out of the Pro Evo book and have the ultra quick sub selection (or something better). Don't want to get buggered by copyright, we'll call it team management+.
