Oh I know, it's just that the Sony press conference should showcase the best games and I believe Heavy Rain is one of the best.
Loud and clear snake. What's the situation?
They both had good press conferences and I would be satisfied as a gamer on either system. Go ahead with pitting the motion sensing head to head though, at least that makes sense.
The open zone is fun :) So are people with one bubble :)
I agree about the Heavy Rain footage, I would have liked to see that. But why announce Metal Gear: Rising when it's already been done for you? That AND they were hella pushed for time anyway, cutting the kart racing demo short.
True, I'm with you. But that was the entire point of the device. It is being concurrently supported. Now there is a choice between digital and physical media for the PSP which is good in my opinion.
I'm with you, a live functioning demo that looked fun to use is great!
Oh yeah, the live demo went something like this:
"You ever wonder what the bottom of an avatar's shoe looks like? WHA-BAM! There it is!" - avatar onscreen convulses wildly while guy tries to raise his foot.
Nor would they expect you to man up and try to consider their opinion.
Seriously, this is subjective. If you or anyone else believe otherwise then you're mistaken. You obviously place more weight on Microsoft's announcements and that's ok but don't come here bashing on Sony because they didn't announce you a 360 exclusive.
It's simple. Whoever had the most announcements *you personally* put weight on. For me they come up about equal although I place more weight on Sony's motion control because I think it applies more heavily to games I would like to play.
Just because you personally "didn't care" for the games, doesn't make it any less of a showing.

It's a grand theft auto style MMO game where turf wars happen. PC (Windows) only.
Totally agree. I came in all these "supa graphics" threads and saw stuff that looks like what I've been playing already.
Definitely not CG quality. Nowhere near. But if that lighting is dynamic I must say I'm impressed at the leap this game pulls over the last graphical powerhouse on the 360, Gears 2.
Hmm even though you tried to add structure to the wall of text, I can't say many would read that. I'm sure you could have halved that if you tried :)
Anyway, on topic:
I agree with you that a demo would be a great step to bolster confidence in the title, especially for the PS3 crowd who already have a similar genre of game to play.
Personally, I won't be buying this until I can play it, either at a friend's place or as a demo.
Err they were in game footage. There is a difference between graphics as a whole and textures. Textures are a subset of graphics, a single part of the whole. Sure, Gears 2 had great textures but was not as good as KZ2 (for instance) in other departments (like lighting, to name one).
Also, you have to realize that in-game movie making is just like movie-making in real life. You can capture the movie in specific ways that make it look better due to a little directorship.
Sorry, what? I couldn't understand any of that. I got something about a king who plays 360 and PS3?
Don't even pay attention to disagrees unless someone posts along with them. It doesn't really mean anything unless the disagreer explain it.
Yeah, nobody mentions the Wii. It's like god - up there, untouchable.
This looks bad. It could have been executed SO much better.
