My mini prediction:
Starting late 2008/early 2009, with warranties running out, people will have a decision on their hands, buy another 360 or PS3 (with hopefully a smaller price).
There will be a lot of pissed off people with a paperweight of a console. A part of me also thinks MS will think of possibly extending the warranty (for RROD, again) or offer some kind of discount. They don't want current 360 owners to contemplate the PS3 in any fashion.
I...
I love how people scream "choice" when talking about the 360. What "choice" does a person have when upgrading or adding a new hard drive?
Western Digital? No
Seagate? No
Maxtor? No
Hitachi? No
Wait, what's that? A person has but 1 "choice"..... an expensive, proprietary drive from Microsoft? Talk about looking out for your customers.
"both plataforms will have the same version"
Lowest common denominator, basically watered down. You can thank Microsoft for choosing quantity over quality.
I imagine, after 8-9 years, the PS2 is almost pure profit for Sony. He did mention something along the lines that PS2 sales have allowed Sony to competitively price the PS3. I'm willing to bet the PS3 would still be $600 if it wasn't for the PS2.
With all the talk of FF, there were other games at the conference? I'm looking at you Fable2/Gears of War2.
Admit it, FF stole the show. CliffyB is crying now I bet.
That's the million dollar question.
How long will it take? I cannot fathom why Square would hold onto the PS3 version and wait until the 360 version is done before releasing it in NA/EU (as many have speculated). To be honest, I own a PS3 and getting tired of waiting for this game. It's looking like late 2009/early 2010.
All this FF talk has made it seem like Gears of War 2 and Fable 2 were never displayed. FF fan or not, you have to admit it stole the show. lol
Sadly, the dollar bill wins again. I'm willing to bet if PS3 had Wii sales then they'd laugh at the prospect of putting 13 on the 360. I would have figured MGS4 was enough evidence to stay exclusive.
.. and the 1500 PS3's are still running cooler. :)
If you look at women playing Final Fantasy as wrong, then I never want to be right. :)
Maybe they should attach a dictionary to the game.
pro·logue
–noun
. a preliminary discourse; a preface or introductory part of a discourse, poem, or novel.
Photoshop is not your forte huh? lol
First it was 2.4, and now 2.41. Apparently you didn't get the memo, the 2% of people who had issues with 2.4 are now pretty much fixed with 2.41.
Red ring, you will, you will.
I don't have any good or bad feelings about the guy but my objective opinion is that his ego could use some toning down.
Hypothetically, it's like, Eli Manning, who's won one Super Bowl, tries to belittle Joe Montana and insult his "passive gameplay". Come on CliffyB (dumb nickname by the way), make 3-4 more stellar games and THEN we'll start comparing you to the greats. You're doing well so far, but don't blow your load just yet by comparing yourself to someone who's ...
Not sure if anyone thought of this but maybe they don't want to blow their load all at once. Having FF there might distract from other smaller-scale games that are trying to make a name for themselves.
Also, they could be likely waiting for the Tokyo Game Show to showcase FF. According to Wikipedia: "Tokyo Game Show allows the general public to attend during the final two days. As a result, it has much higher attendance than E3."

How much $ did MS spend to convince people to not hate XP? That and the release of Vista's successor in ~2010 speaks volumes.
You're wasting your keystrokes.
Some people just don't see an issue with replacing their console (multiple times) since they were never around when it was common place to have a console work as expected. They think this is normal.
I don't think anyone in his right mind would compare it to a good movie/book. In the context of gaming, it ranks up there in terms of depth, characters, and lasting appeal (20 years).
Are we at a point in gaming that too much of a story is frowned upon? Might be a reflection of our ADHD society.
Will we get these articles about any FPS (or 3rd PS) with a paper-thin story? "I was waiting for the story to begin..".
Edit: After some thinking, I'm slowly noticing a trend with gaming; it's becoming more and more common to use aliens as the bad guy.
"We don't need to explain why you need to kill this alien, he's from a dif...
