PS4 day one. Maybe an Xbox 720 a few years later ONLY IF MS drops the XBL sub for free online play and free apps. I REFUSE to rent the online portion of my games and rent free apps from MS.
This makes sense. Nobody is expecting much from MS with the 720 so this leaves room for MS to impress a few people even if they put on an underwhelming E3 like the past 5 years. MS would shock the world if they stop renting out free apps through XBL but we know that won't happen.

Exactly. Unfortunately, XBL is nothing but a free app rental service and you still receive ads and more are on the way. Stop paying for XBL and you lose access to free apps. How can people justify this with a straight face?

In my opinion the only way MS can compete with the PS4 is to finally stop charging for free features. There are tons of ads on XBL which generates billions of dollars yet they still charge their customers for free features.
And to those uneducated people that say that you pay MS to use their servers, go put in COD in your Xbox and play online and it will say "signing into ACTIVISION servers" not MS servers. This disproves that lie. Youtube has a far bigger server...
Seems like Sony is the only company giving gamers new IPs. New IPs STILL coming on the PS3 like The Last of Us and Beyond:Two Souls and new IPs on the PS4 like Drive club, Knack, and the Guerrilla games new IP. Amazing! This is why Sony is #1 with core gamers. These are cold hard facts, no one can deny this. Thank you, Sony. All I care about are the games. I already own several devices that allows me to use apps on them for free, the same free apps that MS charges real money for. Show me the games MS.

I think I speak for everyone when I say we all want MS to stop putting features that are free everywhere else behind a paywall. This is the main complaint on Xbox forums and MajorNelson's blog.
