its true the drm held them back but they were doing it to protect developers and try to advance the market to a digital only age so we can get a steam like service and steam like deals which is great for devs and gamers alike. The family share was also decent in the way you can share games. This future is inevitable, and sony kept the status quo and the market has shown to be stubborn in the way of being traditional and so microsoft had to adjust their policy to match sony.

a good thing it is bigger because it allows for a larger fan- quieter system, (since the fan does not need to spin as fast, and overall better airflow to keep the system cool and increase durabilty and longevity of the component parts. Also the power brick is on the outside which reduces heat in the system.
Ps4 may be smaller, and as a result the fan is smaller- which needs to spin faster to keep the airflow and as a result may be louder. Ps4's graphic card is also better...

I actually think that microsoft gave dev kits to big and trusted companies to make sure their specs will not be leaked to the competition. Smaller indie devs cannot be trusted- especiially considering how all of a sudden indies and sony just became best friends lol. Ubisoft also claimed to recieve dev kits late (supposedly msoft did not trust them with dev kits because of previous leaks) and blizzard which also explains why diablo 3 is not coming to x1 yet. I will gladly accept the challenge. First and foremost you have to know that sony does not have data centres worldwide. These cloud based computations cannot be provided without sufficient server support- THAT IS WHY SONY IS NOT TOUTING IT. sony does not have cloud it has gakai- its a cloud based videogame stream service. It cannot do cloud computation besides linking and matchmaking is about the only feature confirmed by yoshida- its laughable to compare azure which is a 10 billion dollar multifunction cloud system to gakai which is a 350 million dollar videogame stream service lol.
