Right on! I love The Oatmeal and that piece in particular, yet for some reason I didn't think to post it.
Other than the premium cars, I thought Gran Turismo was disappointing graphically. The standard cars, environments, and shadows all looked rubbish.
I don't believe I did prove your point. A real narrative is much different than just an emotional experience. Those three games don't really have a narrative to tell, so of course they don't rely on typical storytelling devices. Uncharted, however, is very much a cinematic experience, therefore it plays out more like a movie.

Why would anyone mention Limbo, Flower, or Journey when discussing Uncharted and methods of storytelling? None of those games really have a story, so I find the comparison irrelevant.

Just a few more days...
I'm a PS3 owner and I think that other than Payday, the Summer of Arcade lineup is/was way better. Bastion and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet alone make it a better(and more exclusive) lineup in my opinion.

I'd love to play Journey this summer if it were possible. I don't think it even has a release date yet.

With the recent trend of $15 games, I'm pleasantly surprised to see Sideways and Rochard at $10. Hell yeah.

I would have included Snake Eater instead of MGS. I think Assassin's Creed 2 has an excellent soundtrack as well.
