“Letting” or being forced to? They don’t have enough audience on Xbox to pay for the acquisitions, so they are going multiplatform. Xbox is less relevant today than ever before in its history.

But, personally, I disagree with most of what you said. And that is my take. You mention your own personal preferences, and draw your own conclusions, about service focus and greed, but it’s based on false information and subjective observation respectively.
I wouldn’t worry if I were you. Sony has been at this for 5 generations, and haven’t disappointed yet.

They are PlayStation exclusives.
MS didn’t make the original Gears of War on 360 but it was still an Xbox game. How is that different?
With what games? I’m currently playing Helldivers 2 and it’s great.
Next month I’m getting Rise of Ronin to coincide with premier of the Hulu series Shogun.
But I can’t think of anything at all coming out on Xbox side that is exciting me.
This has nothing to do with logic or reality. PlayStation keeps churning out blockbuster games, but any fool with a keyboard can make whatever claim he/she wants.
They said time and again that they would be doing the same strategy that they are known for; AAA story games, but will also make live service on top of it. There is nothing to pivot back from.
